Updated Small Crate
Updated Small Crate
This was a simple project that didn't take long to complete. My friend gave me the small crate and said, "do something with it". It sat in the garage for a few weeks before I decided what to do with it. Then it became this:

Stool becomes Plant Stand
Stool Becomes Plant Stand
I found a stool that someone threw out. Of course I had to pick it up. It sat in my garage for quiet some time before we moved and I was close to getting rid of it, but choose to put it in the new garage.
So the other day, as I was cleaning in the garage, I found the stool and thought I could finally fix it and make a plant stand out of it.

DIY Garage Tire Rack
DIY Garage Tire Rack
When we were in Vermont earlier this month, my son was trying to clean up his garage for winter. He had 8 snow tires that were taking up too much space and asked what can we do with them.We tossed around some ideas and then I looked on Pinterest and saw a hanging tire rack and he said, yes, that works.
Now all my hubby had to do was figure out how to make it and he did.

Updated Rocking Chairs
Updated Rocking Chairs
When we purchased our new home, they left two rocking chairs on the front porch. The chairs were sturdy so we kept them. However, they did not go with the new paint color of the house.

Kitchen Makeover - Part 4 Final
The kitchen is finally done, almost. A couple of things still need to be done, but for now that's OK. For some reason, hubby is OK with almost done. "I will get to it", is his statement. Oh me!

Chalk Painting a Laminate Side Table
At first, I wasn't sure what to do with it since it was laminate. I have used a lot of chalk paint on pieces, so thought why not? What harm could it do?

How to Unify Mismatched Drawer Pulls!
Does it seem like you never have the right number of them when you need them for a project?
I hear you because that was exactly my situation for my cabinet doors in the barn. Last week I showed you the new cabinets and granite in place. If you missed that, you can see all the problems I had with that here.

Doily Dresser Scarf
I have seen this done with doilies stitched together by themselves, but I wanted to put a based with mine. So I started with a piece of a lace curtain. I cut it the size of the top of my nightstand.
Here is the backside of the topper. Once I had the base cut, I began to place doilies on the lace.
I didn't fill in all areas. I did add various pieces of lace on top of the doilies. Once I liked the layout, I began to stitch the pieces down. I just stitched them on.
Although I liked the look, I wanted more, so I added lace pieces down the sides of the top.
I pinned all the pieces of lace to the top and then stitched them on my sewing machine. Still not enough, I add a piece of lace over these to make it look more finished.
I love how it turned out and it looks great on the night stand.
This project was a great way to use up some of those doilies I collect and all of the lace pieces I have in my stash.

Simple LOVE Sign
Many of you have been posting wonderful Valentine's Day ideas. I am not doing too much this year since I will be out of town during that time. I have some decorations from last year, but wanted something new. While cleaning in the garage, I came across these old rulers and this board. Just maybe?

Heart Vase Holder
Memorial weekend is ready to begin and we are trying to get the deck ready for company and cookouts. Why is it that we always seem to finally finish those projects that we have been putting off until right before we are supposed to have company? I don't know about you, but I seem to do that a lot. It gives me that extra push I needed.
As we started to prepare for cleaning the deck, as usual, I wanted to add some additional decor and this heart vase holder was one of them.
