Welcome to the party. I hope your Valentine week is off to a great start. We don't do anything special for Valentine's Day. I hate to go out since it is always so crowded. This year we are staying home, hubby is cooking dinner and my BIL and SIL are coming over and then we will play cards.

Welcome to the party. I hope you are all doing well. we finally uncovered our plants. The cold was just too much for our trees. We lost all of the buds and baby fruit that was there.
I feel for the farmers here since it is strawberry, blueberry and blackberry season. Even farmers that had sunflowers lost them. It is so sad. We are not use to seeing black plants and bushes instead of all the green.

Welcome to the party. The winter weather is upon us. I came to Pittsburgh, PA to see my sister. Wow, it is cold here. I couldn't live up north again. I am freezing, but we are having fun.

These cute little heart favors are easy to put together. My Mom usually gives a little something to a few of your best friends. They give each other small and inexpensive gifts.
I had some light and dark pink felt and thought some hearts would be the perfect gift. I was going to make them a stuffed Valentine heart and then decided to make them so we could put some candy in them.

Happy Thursday dear friends. Well, my week here in PA is coming to a close. I am leaving today to head home. Mom is always so sad when I leave. It is always so heard to leave her and my sister. We had a wonderful visit. I will miss them so much.

I don't decorate a lot for Valentine's Day. A few things here and there. When my neighbor was throwing out this white box, I knew it would make a nice Valentine decoration.
Many of you have been posting wonderful Valentine's Day ideas. I am not doing too much this year since I will be out of town during that time. I have some decorations from last year, but wanted something new. While cleaning in the garage, I came across these old rulers and this board. Just maybe?
Last week as I was cleaning out my barn, I found many small pieces of wood trim. If you saw My Unordinary Valentine, you know that I used the trim pieces to make that valentine. I found a piece of bead board that we used in the bathroom. My husband cut this piece wrong and we were going to throw it out, but I thought it might make another valentine for the front door at our other house. This one is a more traditional valentine.
They are the ultimate symbol of romantic love and enduring passion.
Florists say they can not keep enough roses in stock for Valentine's Day. In fact, it is estimated that about 2 billion dollars will be spent on flowers alone in 2013.
