Giving New Life to a Cracked Chair
I went to a farm house sale and bought a few things and this chair was sitting there. I loved it but the seat was cracked. The owner said I could have it for 50 cents. How could I turn it down? I knew one day I would fix it. It kept getting moved into the background until a few months ago. (Can you believe that I didn't fix it for almost 7 years?)
I glued the seat together and clamped it. To make it even more secure, my husband added some round washers over the crack, on the under side so that it would not come undone.
Once it was glued and dried, I sanded the chair.
This chair has to be the most comfortable chair to sit in. It just seems to conform to your bottom.
I distressed it a little and I applied wax to the chair. I just loved it.
Not sure why I waited so long to update this chair, but so glad I finally did.
It just seems to go in so many places in my home. You can't even see where it was cracked and it is so functional.

Where to Store All of your Pets Meds?
You know, things like flea medicine, heart worm meds, ear cleaner, bandages, salve, etc. for your dog or cat?
Do you have it stored in a basket, cabinet or drawer?
I wanted to get all of the meds in one place. After all, our pets are part of the family and should have their own space and be organized. Right!
I am not sure when I got this cabinet, but I have had it for years. It's one of those items where you just aren't sure what to do with it, then all of a sudden, it comes to you.
Have you ever done that? Had something for a long time and then one day, you just knew where it should go? That was this piece. Not much to look at, but what a great storage cabinet it would make to house all of those dog and cat products.
Want to see the transformation of this piece into the dog's medicine cabinet?

Button Ball Tea Cup
I had also purchased 4 Styrofoam balls for 25 cents. I wanted something for my vintage painted White Clad side table that I posted. I created this button ball and put it in a tea cup.

Heart Vase Holder
Memorial weekend is ready to begin and we are trying to get the deck ready for company and cookouts. Why is it that we always seem to finally finish those projects that we have been putting off until right before we are supposed to have company? I don't know about you, but I seem to do that a lot. It gives me that extra push I needed.
As we started to prepare for cleaning the deck, as usual, I wanted to add some additional decor and this heart vase holder was one of them.
