A Medicine Cabinet For The Dogs! - page 2
Looks like someone wanted to update the cabinet by applying a crackle finish on it, but I think it went south!
You can tell that I had already removed the hinges and the door handle.
The inside was nice wood, a little cleaning and it would work fine.
The outside was painted with Anne Sl0an - Old White.
A graphic was needed, so off to The Graphic Fairy. Isn't this pharmacy one perfect for this project?
After applying the graphic, it still needed something. Found these wooded corners in my stash, so why not?
They were painted with the same color as the cabinet and then I applied some aging wax to them. Here is the completed medicine cabinet.
One of my favorite parts of the cabinet was the door clasp. It was a little retro.
All of the hinges and the door latch was cleaned with Bar Keepers. (I did a post on it).
All of the pet supplies fit into the cabinet and it is so organized. On top of that, it looks great hanging in the pantry.
I did forget to mention that this cabinet cost me $2. Worth every penny. Don't you just love it when you can finally use something that has been collecting dust? Not anymore!
