Blueberry and Peach Cobbler
Blueberry - Peach Cobbler
It is peach season and what goes great with peaches? Blueberries of course. Well, at least if you picked a lot and have them in the freezer, like me.
When my BIL brought me peaches, I wanted to make a peach cobbler but then I realized that I had lots of blueberries from when we picked them. You might remember that for my FIL birthday, I gave him a series of cards, one for each month that entitled him to a dessert from me. I thought this would make a great birthday dessert.

Fresh Peach Hand Pies
Fresh Peach Hand Pies
It is peach season in Georgia. My BIL brought me peaches the other day and I was so excited. There is just something so delicious and tasty about Georgia peaches.
I am always torn about what to make first. Of course I eat one first, that's a given, next bake with them. Up first was some peach hand pies. I few of the peaches were ripe and needed to be used, so hand pies came to mind. Little pockets of "yumminess".

Fresh Peach Bars
Fresh Peach Bars
Well, it is peach season, or almost the end of it in Georgia. My BIL came down last week with another bushel of peaches. I cut up most of them and put them in the freezer but I did keep out some to eat and for baking.
One of the things I decided to bake were these Fresh Peach Bars. They were a hit with everyone.

Lemon Blueberry Cream Cheese Cookies
Lemon Blueberry Cream Cheese Cookies
It's blueberry picking time here in Florida. So after picking lots of berries, what should you do? Make some dessert with them, because you have already eaten way too many. I made a coffee cake and some scones and wanted something else - cookies.

I saw this recipe on Pinterest and I just had to try it. I had some pumpkin left over from making scones and thought this would be a great dessert to use up those leftovers.

Pumpkin Bars
Yummy Pumpkin Bars
Do you save old magazines that have recipes? I keep saving them and have some that go back to 2004. These pumpkin bars are from a Taste of Home. I had them marked but don't remember ever making them. I had all of the ingredients on hand so I said, "why not today".

Chocolate Peanut Butter Mallow Bars
Chocolate Peanut Butter Mallow Bars
Sometimes you just need something chocolate, right. When I saw these in Food and Family magazine, I knew I had to make these. They looked so chocolaty and gooey. My kind of dessert.

Fresh Peach Cobbler
Fresh Peach Cobbler
Well, as you may know, I brought back lots of peaches from the farm. I made peach hand pies and now it was time for peach cobbler. I am not sure if peach cobbler or peach pie is hubby's favorite dessert, but he does love them.

Healthy Carrot Mango Cake
Healthy Carrot Mango Cake
I love carrot cake, but I don't make it too often because of all the calories. I was so excited when I found this recipe from Better Homes and Gardens that cut the calories off the traditional recipe. Instead of all the oil, you can use mango juice. We still are seeing mangoes here in the supermarket, so I thought I wold give it try. You could always use frozen mangoes too.

Visiting Cold Hollow Cider Mill
Visiting Cold Hollow Cider Mill
While we were in Vermont, we took a few hours off to do some sightseeing. We stopped at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill. People come from all over to visit this place. Even buses pulled in while we were there.(Picture courtesy of Cold Hollow Cider Mill)
They have many products from Vermont like Maple syrup, apples and cider and gift ideas. Although these are all enticing, what draws me here are the apple cider donuts.

Peach Slab Pie with Sugar Cookie Crumble
Peach Slab Pie with Sugar Cookie Crumble
If you follow me, you know I received almost a bushel of peaches recently. We ate lots and then I put the rest in the freezer. I wanted to make something for my husband to take into work. I had seen recipes for slab pie and thought that would be great with the peaches. Instead of putting another crust on top, I crumbled sugar cookie dough on the top. How could it not be good?

Fresh Peach Pie
Fresh Peach Pie
It is peach time in Georgia. Well at least it is for me. We drove up to Georgia to pick up some peaches. There is nothing like a Georgia peach. Pick one of them up and eat it and it is like nothing you can get in stores. The juice was running down my arm.
If you follow me, you might remember that my brother-in-law manages a pecan farm but they also have groves of peaches. So each year I get a bushel. In the past I have picked them up and taken them to my son's house when we were on our way to visit, but this year I wanted peaches in my freezer.
Hubby usually comes up on Thursday evenings, so I made him a peach pie.

Easter Mini Cheesecakes
Easter Mini Cheesecakes
Cheesecake is just one of those desserts that you can make in so many ways: Chocolate, New York style, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Macadamia nut. Are you getting my drift here? Endless possibilities!
I bake for my husband's office often. It gives me a chance to make desserts which is my favorite thing to do, but hate having too much dessert around.
These Easter Mini Cheesecakes came from Kraft. I thought they would be great to send into the office and a little Easter thrown in as well. They are super easy to make.
Let's see how to make these scrumptious little morsels.

No Bake Oreo Cheesecake Bites
No Bake Oreo Cheesecake Bites
With Valentine's Day only a few days away, how about a tasty morsel for your sweetie, or maybe just to indulge yourself. The nice thing about these bites are that they are "bite size"! So if you are trying to watch the calories, these little bites will do the trick. Now I can't say they are low calories, but you only need a small bite to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Coconut Bundt Cake
Yummy Coconut Bundt Cake
I am not sure why, but I love to make bundt cakes. Maybe it's the look of a bundt cake or maybe I just like to tell my husband I made a "bundt" cake. Remember that scene from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" when the mother brings a bundt cake to their house. That part always makes me laugh. She ends up putting a flower in the center.
Well, I digress, back to my bundt cake. This one is made with coconut. My husband is not a big coconut fan, but he loved this cake. The cake is very moist and just heavenly. Can a cake be that - heavenly?
