Thursday Favorite Things
Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!
Happy Thursday my friends. I hope your week has been going well. I had a lovely visit with my friend down in Davie. As usual, we cooked, we laughed, we had a couple of drinks.
We did have a scare when her senior dog was limping on Tuesday morning. He had a very hard time getting up. He also has this mass under his chest. She was afraid to take him for fear it was cancer. I convinced her to take him and I would go with her. You should have seen the two of us trying to get an 80 pound dog into the car.
My Features from last week:

DeleteOMG, that Pumpkin Spice Latte looks amazing. I just want to take a big sip.
Thanks for sharing it at TFT.

I hope her dog will be okay. I did smile at the thought of two lovelies lifting a big dog into the car. Wonderful autumnal features this week. Thank you for your friendship and for being a wonderful TFT co hostess xo
ReplyDeleteKatherine,
DeleteIt was a sight to see, the two of us trying to lift him. I didn't think we could, but I said OK I can do this. He is doing much better and on the road to recovery.
Have a lovely day.
Hugs,
Bev
Glad you had a nice visit with your friend. What was the dog's diagnosis, is it okay? Linking up a couple of fall projects this week in links 69 & 70. Have a lovely Thursday, Bev!
ReplyDeleteMarie,
DeleteHe has a slight tear on his upper leg but because of this age, will not do surgery. He said after the meds, to take him on little walks to help strengthen the leg. I love those faux pumpkins and what a great way to create a new wreath by recycling materials from an older one. You are so clever.
Hugs,
Bev
Sending good wishes for your friend’s dog. I know how hard that can be. Enjoying TFT a day after my surgery recuperating. Thanks for co hosting!
ReplyDeleteDebbee,
DeleteI love all of your Halloween table decor. I hope you ae doing well after your surgery and taking it easy. Have a wonderful upcoming weekend.

Melissa,
DeleteWe is so nice to be able to spend some time with my friend. Her dog is doing much better.
Thanks for the help with the strawberries. Mine are starting to send out runners. I have just let them go where they want. I will keep that in mind for the future.

Hi Bev! Love that you got friend time! How is her dog doing? I have a busy work-week this week. My husband is still trying to fix the van - hopefully we can take it out camping this weekend. I shared #120 :)
ReplyDeleteSuchot,
DeleteHere dog is doing much better. I hope hubby gets the van fixed so you can go camping. We still haven't got our motorhome back yet. Waiting on an air-conditioner. No camping for us for awhile. Try not to work too hard. Have a lovely weekend. Love the new peanut Butter mug cake. There's something special about mug cakes. They satisfy your sweet tooth without having a lot left over.
Hugs,
Bev
I hope your friend's dog gets well soon, Bev. What a wonderful thing to be with your friend for that scary appointment. Thanks so much for hosting and bringing so many creatives together. I'm sharing rustic American cottage lovely at #159. Have a wonderful weekend, friend. xox
ReplyDeleteMichele,
DeleteI hope you are doing better and the rest of your family. I know you have been going through some really difficult times - health wise. Her dog is doing better. Thanks for asking.
Take care my friend. I keep you in my prayers.
Hugs,
Bev
I so appreciate your faithfulness here!
ReplyDeleteMichele,

Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi, Bev; I was glad to learn from your follow up comment that your friend's dog is recovering. Thank you for hosting another great TFT party; I am sharing #183 Coahuila Style Homemade Chorizo (with Vegan Option). Have an awesome week!
ReplyDeleteIrene,
DeleteYes, her dog is doing much better. I guess I never thought of making my own chorizo. How cool is that. I am always impressed by your stories.
Thanks for sharing and have a lovely weekend.
Hugs,
Bev
Thank you so much for the birdcage feature. It's an honor. I'm glad you had a good visit with your gf. Those times are the best! Is your dog a Lab by any chance? We have a white lab and she gets fatty tumors all the time that are not necessarily dangerous. Praying for your pup. It's so hard as they get older. 😔. Stay well.
ReplyDeleteXO- MaryJo
Mary Jo,
DeleteJust her dog is part lab. They rescued him. She also has a white lab, but she is young. Yes, as they get older, it is hard to think of loosing them. He is doing much better.
You are so welcome for the feature. That bird cage is beautiful.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Bev
Marilyn,
