Featured Bloggers
Even
though it's still chilly and/or cold where many of you live we are beginning to
see warmer temps causing my thoughts to turn to Spring this week. And with
those thoughts I love to freshen up our decor by adding a few bright flowers in
new ways. So today I am going to show you this little centerpiece I made from a
thrifted wooden graphic French box I found and some milk jars I purchased at
the Target dollar spot - love that place.
Painting on canvas has
never been something that I am good at. Give me a piece of furniture and I’ll
go to town, but canvas… that seems to be a whole other story. I am always
in complete awe though of anyone that can paint on canvas because of the incredible
detail they can achieve.
Where oh where have the cupcakes gone? Well, right here
on your new Rustic Cupcake Stand! And yes, you CAN build it yourself.
Why all the enthusiasm? Only because I'm so excited to share this
beautiful cupcake stand that I built for a wedding last fall. It holds
80-90 cupcakes and stands 24 1/2" tall. Don't be overwhelmed by it's
size just yet...it is portable and each tier can be taken off and reassembled
as needed! So, if you want to use the bottom tiers alone, you can.
Now, enough of sounding like a home shopping network salesperson....Let's build!
Lemons
are so inexpensive and so easy to decorate with when it comes to adding Spring decor to
your home.
Centerpieces can be pricey, but they don’t have to be they can be as
simple as just adding a few lemons to a white decorative pedestal dessert dish.
I love the simplicity and how the vibrant yellows
just adds that just right amount of color, while not
really having to add much more to it.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks
SO WENDY SO
I finally got my hands on these two cult-favourite liquid lipsticks! These colours are always sold out at my nearest Sephora and do not get restocked very often. They are available online and in stores at Sephora for $24 CAD each. I was able to get both recently and I am now obsessed. These two colours are the perfect pink and orange nude tones to have in your collection.
Brighten your home and
heart with this beautiful Free Spring Quote Printable. “Earth Laughs In
Flowers” is a quote by Ralf Waldo Emerson and it’s one of my all time favorite
quotes because to me flowers are one of life’s greatest and most precious
gifts.
Can
you believe it, we finished our fireplace and I have all the info on how to
build your own outdoor stacked stone fireplace today! I think it has been
almost exactly a year since my husband brought home a fireplace insert that he
found off Craigslist, yes, things take a long time to get complete around here.
Although, I will admit, good things are worth the wait!
We have so much fun
creating fun Easter and Spring crafts around our house. And my kids love
to be involved! So today I want to share a little something special
with you! This fun Easter Egg Ornament makes the cutest gift idea or
would be perfect to hang on a tree or a few branches in your home! I
think I am going to package a few of these up with some sugar cookies and icing
and drop them off to friends and neighbors as gifts! Either way
though, his is just an adorable little craft that your whole family can
have fun helping you make!
In late January I started on a mesh wreath for Valentine’s
Day but I just wasn’t feeling it. The pink just didn’t do it for me. So
the wreath just sat in our foyer coat closet for the past month or so until
this past weekend when I thought I might as well spruce it up for Spring.
DIY Easter Ribbon Wreath!
Suzy's Artsy Craftsy Sitcom
The nice folks at Hairbow Supplies, Etc. challenged me to come up with a project using their specialty Easter ribbons. And you know how I am with a challenge. I don’t think I’ve met one yet that I’ve passed up! So, with Easter on my mind, I created a pretty DIY Easter Ribbon Wreath!
LEPRECHAUN LIME POKE CAKE
Totally The Bomb
Even if you’ve got the luck o’ the Irish, you can’t pass up a chance to get that Leprechaun’s gold, and trust me, this spirited Leprechaun Lime Poke Cake is just the plate o’ gold you were looking for this St. Patrick’s Day.
Creating a
beautiful table for Easter doesn’t need to take you a long time. Often times
you can dress your table in minutes. One of my goals, here on Hoosier Homemade
is to help you “Be a Hero” to your family, but that doesn’t mean spending all
day in the kitchen.
