Creating an Autumn Tray with Dollar Tree Items
Creating an Autumn Tray with Dollar Tree Items
With fall here, there are so many items that can be used to create an autumn tray for your home. Sometimes these items can come from things you already have, from your yard, from the Dollar Tree or a combination of these. My Autumn tray is a combination.
If you are coming over from The Antiqued Journey, thank you.
I am so happy to be joining Katherine, from Katherine’s Corner for a delightful event, an, “Autumn on a tray tour”.
For my Autumn tray, I found this light up pumpkin at the Dollar Tree. I thought it would be great for Halloween, but then realized that I wanted this tray to stay out all fall. That meant it had to change a little.
First off, I removed the black netting. It was still not right. The stem was black.
So I decided to wrap twine around the stem to fit in with the rest of my tray.
I found the ribbon at the Dollar Tree and made a couple of bows.
I had bought the pumpkin and leaf sprig at Hobby Lobby on sale. I already had the metal acorns, but you could use real ones or store bought ones. You could also use small pine cones.
I also had the red and yellow leaf candles and some berries to put in the center.
I am sure you can find similar items to create a tray of your own. The great thing about fall, is that you will find so many great items that you can use to create your own Autumn tray.
Please click over to My Home for All Seasons, to continue the tour. Thank you!

Fall Centerpiece Using Fruit Cocktail Cans
Fall Centerpiece Using Fruit Cocktail Cans
As I watch others post their fall projects and talk about cooler weather, it is hard to think about fall when the weather is still so warm here in southern Florida. We may cool off to the upper eighties tomorrow. lol!
This post is about creating the vases for this "fall" centerpiece.

Fall Candle Holder from a Lamp Base
Fall Candle Holder from a Lamp Base
A few months back, I pulled a wicker lamp out of the neighbors junk pile. The cord had been cut off but the rest of the parts where there. I keep lamp parts so I took it apart. The lamp shade was "toast" and I really didn't want it.The base of the lamp was wicker and in good shape, but I didn't like the color (sort of dirty blond). Sorry, I don't have a picture of the original lamp base. I didn't think I would be using the base. I put it aside for awhile.
Then one day I found the wicker base and had an idea. I found some brown spray paint. I got so excited that I forgot to take a before picture. While the paint was drying, I headed to A. C. Moore for a couple of items.

Fall Decor Using Easter Eggs
Fall Decor Using Easter Eggs
I actually made this fall arrangement a couple of years ago. I found them as I was going through some boxes in my garage. I thought I would share them with you in case you missed them the first time.

Ringing in Fall
My husband collects bells and the large school house bell in the middle was the one my mother rang when she was a child in a one room school house. As the American Pickers would say, it is the story behind the piece that makes it special. How we obtained it, is quite the story.

The other day as I was cleaning and found the wicker base and had an idea. I found some brown spray paint. I got so excited that I forgot to take a before picture. While the paint was drying, I headed to A. C. Moore for a couple of items.
