Halloween Decor Ideas on Thursday Favorite Things
Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things Party
Happy Thursday dear friends. We have been having the most awesome fall weather. Now I feel more like fall decorating, although I already did. lol!
I am heading to Pittsburgh on Saturday. I have not seen my Mom since June when I was there. I really miss her and my sister. I will be driving, which I love to do but it is a long trip - 15 hours.
I pick some awesome Halloween decorating ideas and crafts.
I hope you have a fabulous weekend ahead.
Many of my features come from your comments. Don't forget to leave our Linkup Number or Post Title so I can find you and you might become one of my features for next week.

Halloween Boo Sign
Halloween Boo Sign
I am still trying to make some Halloween crafts and this one was easy and very inexpensive. I had everything on hand so it doesn't get better than that - zero dollars.

Dollar Tree Ghost Garland
Dollar Tree Ghost Garland
You can find so many great Halloween items at Dollar Tree as many of you know. I have been finding great items that I can use for decor. This is my second project that I have made from inexpensive items from the Dollar Tree. My first one was about Bats, Branches and Bows that I shared. You can see that project here.
When I bought the bats, I also bought some wooden ghosts. I decided to make a garland using them.
How to make this garland:
- one package of wooden ghosts (8 per package)
- black felt
- glue
- black/white twine
- white paint
I placed the wooden ghosts on some foil on a cookie sheet and then painted them with white paint. You could do this with a brush or spray paint them. Use whatever you have.
I painted both sides of the wooden ghosts. Once they were dried, I added some black felt so the eyes would stay out. I cut a piece that would cover the eyes and the mouth. You can use black paper or foam core that they have at the Dollar Tree.
The black really makes the eyes and mouth pop.
Once all of the felt was on, I used some black/white twine that I got at the Dollar Tree. If you can't find black/white twine, you can use regular twine or plain black.
I just threaded the twine through the hole in the top of the ghost and then hung them on my window that is in my dining room.

Bats, Branches and Bows
Bats, Branches and Bows
I have a very inexpensive project for you and everything comes from the Dollar Tree and your back yard. I call it my bats, branches and bows project.
I had to start creating some Halloween decor. I kept seeing all of the posts about fall and Halloween so when I went into the Dollar Tree the other day, I found these packages of bats.
The great thing about these bats was that they had clips on the back so I could easily attach them to branches.
Although I liked the bats, I thought I would paint their eyes red. I had some red paint and dabbed it on. You don't need to do this if you don't want to. Hopefully, you can see their red eyes in this picture.
I headed in the back yard for some branches. I found one that had some moss on it. That would work well. I gather a couple more sticks. Hubby gave me this blue/green vase on my birthday with flowers in it. Although it is new, I like the shape and color.
I did place some floral foam in the bottom to hold the branches. Once the branches were secured, I started to add the bats.
Of the 4 packages of bats, I used all of them except for 2. I needed something more. A bow around the vase. I also found this at the Dollar Tree. First I tied some ribbon around the vase and then made a bow and attached it.
While at the store, I also found these Halloween shot glasses, at least that's what I think they are. I wasn't really sure what I was going to use them for, just bought them.
I put a tea light in them and put them around the vase.
So for $6 I was able to create my Bats, Branches and Bows. I am so excited that I created my first fall/Halloween project. Maybe I will go in the attic and get my fall and Halloween stuff down.

A Quick Halloween Vignette
Need a Quick Halloween Vignette?
Halloween is rapidly approaching and I am still decorating. I wanted a quick and easy vignette for my kitchen table. So I checked my stash, painted a little, added a little and this is what I came up with.Friday, October 13, 2017
Inexpensive Halloween Books
Inexpensive Halloween Books!
I love to decorate for Halloween but hate the high costs of many of the cute items, so I look for things to make cheaply. I recently shared my Decorative Stacked Pumpkins that I made from inexpensive plastic ones.Today I want to share my Witch's Books. Of course a witch needs to have a book full of her spells, right?

Easter Eggs as Fall Decor?
Easter Eggs as Fall Decor?
As we were moving things in the garage, I found these plastic eggs. I set them aside and the next day I thought about what I could do with them. Could I use them as fall decor?
These 6 eggs were the bigger ones, around four inches in length. I decided to turn them into acorns.
