10 Minute Peep Centerpiece
This centerpiece only took about 10 minutes to complete and you can eat it. My kind of project.
This centerpiece went together quickly. I grabbed a clear vase and layered in some white and green grass.
I used wooden skewers that I spray painted white, but not the tips since I would be putting the peeps on the tips. You could also leave them plain, but I liked the white. They dry quickly.
I stuck the skewers into the vase and positioned them where i wanted then to be. It was easier to just place the peeps onto the tips rather than try to put the skewers into the vase.
Next I melted some vanilla chips in a glass measuring cup. I did it in the microwave at 30 second intervals. You don't need a lot of chocolate.
I bought three different peep colors.
Once the chocolate had melted, I dipped the bottom of the peep into the chocolate. I thought this was too much chocolate, so for the rest of them, I used a small spatula and applied the white chocolate to the outside edge of the peeps and then dipped them into these sprinkles. I happened to have these but any kind of sprinkles would work.
After they were coated, I placed them onto the skewers.
I added some more green grass on top. You could add some jelly beans or other candies but I liked it plain. The best part is that these peeps are edible. Of course these ones may be hard by next week? lol!
