Frozen DIY art bag
Keeping it Real
Yesterday we went to a Frozen themed birthday party for a little girl turning four. And because I love themed birthday parties I decided I needed to make a custom gift (even though we had a crazy, busy week and I didn't have much time...).
DIY “OUR FAMILY ROCKS” FRAME
Homemaking Hacks
A while ago I spotted the cutest gift, it was actually a print and not actual rocks. But it read “Our Grandpa Rocks” and has all the names of the children in the family printed on surrounding rocks. That framed print is $40 and I just couldn’t justify paying for it as cute as it is, but I put it on my to-do list to try to create something similar. The major difference is that I used real rocks because hey… rocks are free.
BLACK BEAN AND SALSA CHICKEN WRAPS
LEMONS AND LAUGHS
I have a mass of dry beans hanging out on my Lazy Susan. Where did they come from? I don’t know. How long have they been there? I don’t know. Why did I buy them? I don’t know. I do know that I would like to reclaim that little area of my kitchen to store something more useful and needed. I am not saying dry beans are useless, but for as often as I cook with them they may as well be. When I wrote up this recipe I wrote to use a can of black beans because it would be easier, and it will be what I am using in the future now that my black beans are finished. For this exact time I soaked the beans overnight then dumped them in the slow cooker juice and all.

Process Art for Kids (Art Studio Diaries # 1)
The Practical Mom
I have a hundred stories and a thousand pictures from my Art Studio that I have been conducting this Summer! But the laptop crashed (which is actually great, cuz I have a brand new one now!) and being laptop-less for a few weeks mean sifting thru a deluge of photos all at once. Before I get into specifics of what went down (I will, soon!), I want to shoot out a post on the process art that the kids been loving.

Reviews, Chews and How-tosSummer is right around the corner and everyone is jumping the gun on getting their beach bodies back, or even just eating healthier as the weather gets warmer. I myself am not a "dieter" per say. I like making healthy life style changes and sticking with them for a better tomorrow.
SWEET POTATO SUNDAE
LIVING THE GOURMET
I served the ice cream on a warm bed or nest of the sweet potato fries, which created for a delicious contrast between the chilled sweet of the ice cream, and the warm savory tones of the fries.
Encourage One Another TODAY
Glorifying Him
There is power in our words. Use them wisely because our words can cause problems with family and neighbors. It only takes a moment to ruin relationships that might never be rebuilt.
Let's get to pickling ( peppers and asparagus that is)!
Homesteading Quest
I went to the Farmer's Market this morning and there was a man there with jalapenos from his hot house and this whole bunch of jalapenos was just $3. So I got those and then I traded 1 dozen eggs to a friend of mine for this beautiful asparagus. Look at it. Just lovely. We have finally planted some, but we won't be able to get a harvest from it until next year.

30-Minute Jambalaya Recipe
The Classy Chapter
As a busy mom of 3 it’s pretty obvious that I enjoy easy home cooked recipes! If I can use leftovers, that’s even better. The problem with leftovers in my household is that there is 5 of us, so if we do have any left over food it doesn’t go very far for another meal. How do you feed a family of 5 with 2 leftover chicken breasts?
Life In My Empty Nest
This margarita has only three ingredients and the best thing is that these are ingredients that
I always have on hand. So, whenever I am in the mood for a fun,
happy hour cocktail this summer, this will be my go to drink.

A Girl And Her Chicken Named Betty
I bought this because the super cute packaging caught my eye, but it turned out to be a really good mascara, so I'm doing a quick review of it today!
