A Strange Place to Find a Sea Shell
I usually find my sea shells at the beach like everyone else, right? However, do you have any idea where this one is? Stumped? Well, it certainly surprised me. It is hanging, but where?
I had the dogs outside and we were walking around the side of the house, when I noticed something on the wall above the bushes. As I walked closer, sure enough there was this beautiful shell. So how did it get there?
Well, a snail took it there. Now I often see snails in shells around the house, especially in my planters, but they are usually small white ones, around the size of a quarter or less. This is the largest I have ever seen and very lovely.
It is almost 3 inches long and what a beauty. We took these pictures and watched it for awhile but when the snail didn't move, we gave up. That evening we checked on the snail again, but it was in the same place. I guess he likes it there. However, the next morning he was gone. We hunted everywhere, but he was no where to be found. I am not sure about "going at a snails pace .." since he seemed to have moved quite fast and then "disappeared".
I guess you never know what you are going to see next!

well that was very cool. I like the shell but I certainly can't imagine having to be the snail who was trying to carry that thing straight up that wall...lol
