Fall Ideas on Happiness Is Homemade
Fall Ideas on Happiness Is Homemade
Can you believe it's time to start decorating for fall for we bloggers & to begin planning your decorations for fall even if you're not a blogger?! This year is just flying by. This week I'm going to be featuring some great fall posts that were shared this week. Let's get started!
Jenna from The Painted Apron shared a super easy way to make a pumpkin with a toilet paper roll. I love doing this during fall to display the extra tp rolls in our guest bathroom. Adding cinnamon sticks as a stem like she did will have your bathroom smelling wonderful for any guests!
It's the season of pumpkin spice, which this pumpkin spice cheesecake donut recipe is perfect for! I absolutely love cheesecake, so this fall version created by Crystal of Crystal and Comp., looks so delicious to me! Cheesecake, sugar, pumpkin spice, and donuts all in one? Yes, please! I've lost over 45 lbs., to a very unhealthy weight, so these look like they could help me add a few pounds back on too. All around plus for me!
Penny of Penny's Vintage Home has been staying out of the heat and staying busy indoors by creating fall vignettes, including this lovely jewel tea percolator vignette. I love the vintage mixer and percolator, and the ceramic cake with the apple pie candle. I bet that candle smells divine! The framed print just brings it all together for a beautiful fall vignette!
You all know that I love a good Dollar Tree project, so this DIY farmhouse fall pumpkin craft idea is right up my alley! Emily from Hunny I'm Home used ceramic pumpkins, paint, and vinyl to make these adorable faux Rae Dunn pumpkins. Quick, affordable, and oh-so-easy!
Another adorable Dollar Tree pumpkin decor DIY that I loved is this rope and twine pumpkin made by Donna of An Organized Season. She used different sized styrofoam pumpkins wrapped with rope and twine then added beautiful embellishments of braids. The spindle "stem" with leaves and curly Q's is just icing on the cake!

School Features on HIH
School Features on HIH
Most of the South has already headed back to school, but some of our Northern friends haven't quite gotten there yet, according to friends of mine. Most of them will head back in the next 2 weeks or so, so I thought I would share one final week of back-to-school ideas. I planned to share end of summer ideas, like decor and such, but I didn't have enough to do a theme. Apparently, I need my features as themed as my decor, ha-ha! So, let's take a look at the awesome back-to-school features, and pray that our friends who still have kiddos at home ALL day can hang on for a few more days or weeks.
Another school year means another round of fall and spring school pictures. Morgan at Charleston Crafted shared how to hang a staircase gallery wall where you can display all of those years of pictures and see your little one growing right before your eyes every day!
Beth over at Creatively Beth shared an adorable idea for a back-to-school teacher gift idea. My mother and grandmother were teachers, and the items that Beth included are things that teachers will be so thankful for because teachers have to spend their own money throughout the year for supplies!
Last week I shared an idea for laminating & reusing a printable for back-to-school pictures to have K-12 cohesive photos, but this week Tonya of 24 Hour Family shared these cute printables for photos, one for each year of school. Now you have cute pictures to put in that senior year photo slideshow (I know, we don't want to think about that day coming too soon!!).
If you want to have breakfast ready to go easily as soon as you get up in the morning or if your kiddo loves breakfast, even for lunch, these breakfast Bento Box ideas from Kelli at 3 Boys & a Dog. There are more than 25 ideas, so your child won't get food weariness like my hubby and I have from eating tacos my son loves EVERY 2 nights! These breakfast ideas travel well, so if you have to eat on the road, you're good to go.
Darcy and Brian has a tutorial for adorable coffee filter sunflowers that is great for little ones. Teachers can use this for pre-school through first grade or so as they discuss lessons on flowers, seeds, or seasons or even just for a fun craft time activity. This is also great for moms to do with little ones left behind while their older siblings go to school.
