Valentine Heart Favors
These cute little heart favors are easy to put together. Mom usually gives a little something to a few of your best friends. They give each other small and inexpensive gifts.
I had some light and dark pink felt and thought some hearts would be the perfect gift. I was going to make them a stuffed Valentine heart and then decided to make them so we could put some candy in them.
Either one works or you could even glue them closed.
Once I had stitched them closed, I hot glued the pipe cleaners to each side of the heart. If you don't have any pipe cleaners, you could always use some ribbon.
We took them around to her neighbors and if they were not home, we hung them on the door knob.
Now it was time to add the candy. We found lollipop and smarties at the Dollar Tree. She had some Dove heart chocolates. We also had a bag of mixed Hersey mini chocolates.
These would be great as favors on a table or for kids to give other students. A little something to give.

Welcome to the party!! I am back from visiting my Mom. We had a nice visit but it is always difficult to leave. She always cries. I wish I lived closer. I would love her to come and stay with me, but she is set on staying where she is. I can understand that.
I hope your week is off to a great start. I am heading down to visit my friend and spend the night - a girls night. We always had a great time together.

Garden Ideas on You Are the Star
Well to February. Can you believe it? January seemed to go by so fast. I actually planted some vegetables in the garden on Sunday. I spent Saturday getting my beds ready and then we went to buy plants. I did the usual plants but this year I put in some celery plants that I saw. I have never planted celery before so I am hoping it does well.
I know for those who are up north, you can't think about planting but here in the south, it is time. The citrus trees are all blooming and have baby fruit on them. Spring is in the air down here.

Happy Thursday dear friends. Well, my week here in PA is coming to a close. I am leaving today to head home. Mom is always so sad when I leave. It is always so heard to leave her and my sister. We had a wonderful visit. I will miss them so much.
