Hurricanes and Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop
Welcome to Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop!
Welcome Friends. Well, we are preparing for Ian. We will not get the flooding by lots and lots of rain. I hope our friends in other parts of Florida are safe. What a storm this is and will be.
I wanted to thank all of you for your kind words about my granddaughter. She is doing much better although she still has some green and purple bruising on her face. On the road to recovery.
Be safe everyone in the path of Ian

You're The Star - Home Feature Week
Welcome to You're The Star - Home Feature Week
Happy Monday. I hope you had an awesome weekend. Ours was good although Ian is very much on our minds. We are hoping it goes west but latest scenario shows it heading east. That means a lot of rain and wind for Florida and my area. I hope everyone who is in Florida is safe.
Have a great week ahead.

Ghost Garland and Happiness Is Homemade
Welcome to Happiness Is Homemade Party
Happy Sunday. I hope you are having a great weekend. Ours is a little up in the air. Hurricane Ian is certainly on the minds of us here in Florida. We are waiting to see where it is actually going to go.
We spent yesterday getting things shored up, bought water and hubby filled up the propane tanks and the gasoline cans.
I do hope Ian shifts west but we will see. Be safe all of you that are in Florida and surrounding areas.
If you missed last week's party, you can check it out here.
I made this ghost garland from wooden ghosts I got at the Dollar Tree. You can see how I made it here.

I did get some of my decorations down from the attic, but not all of it. While I was sorting through my decorations, I decided to do something with some wooden ghosts that I found at the Dollar Tree.
I hope you check it out. Enjoy the rest of your week. Many of my features come from your comments. Don't forget to leave our Linkup Number or Post Title so I can find you and you might become one of my features for next week.

Dollar Tree Ghost Garland
Dollar Tree Ghost Garland
You can find so many great Halloween items at Dollar Tree as many of you know. I have been finding great items that I can use for decor. This is my second project that I have made from inexpensive items from the Dollar Tree. My first one was about Bats, Branches and Bows that I shared. You can see that project here.
When I bought the bats, I also bought some wooden ghosts. I decided to make a garland using them.
How to make this garland:
- one package of wooden ghosts (8 per package)
- black felt
- glue
- black/white twine
- white paint
I placed the wooden ghosts on some foil on a cookie sheet and then painted them with white paint. You could do this with a brush or spray paint them. Use whatever you have.
I painted both sides of the wooden ghosts. Once they were dried, I added some black felt so the eyes would stay out. I cut a piece that would cover the eyes and the mouth. You can use black paper or foam core that they have at the Dollar Tree.
The black really makes the eyes and mouth pop.
Once all of the felt was on, I used some black/white twine that I got at the Dollar Tree. If you can't find black/white twine, you can use regular twine or plain black.
I just threaded the twine through the hole in the top of the ghost and then hung them on my window that is in my dining room.
