Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!
Well, it is Thursday again and I hope that you are enjoying this October. We are over half way through this month and I wish it would just slow down a bit. I am finally ready for Halloween. All except for the candy. I still need to get that but the house is done.
Since we were not here last year, I am not sure how many kids we will get. I hate to buy too much candy because then I eat it. Do you get lots of kids for Halloween or do you do something else?

I hope your week is off to a great start. Mine is good. I am starting to plant my garden. That probably sounds silly to those of you up north but I am actually a little behind with some of my planting.
I am also helping my daughter paint her bedroom and spare room. She wants to make changes to everything. she bought new drapes, bed-cover, sheets and pillows. I am also making new drapes for her living room. It is a busy week.

Welcome to You're The Star - Creative Feature Week
Happy Monday. I hope you had an awesome weekend. Ours was so beautiful. The temperature was perfect and the evenings were cool. Well cool for central Florida. I decorated for fall and Halloween. I drive my husband crazy because I am always looking for plugs to plug in something. I have not gotten this new house set up the way I had the old house. He was so kind to put in an electrical box on our pole lamp so I could plug in some lights. At least I will be ready for Christmas.

When we got back from our trip up north, I tried to get the house ready for fall and Halloween. I thought of many ways to decorate the mantel but I wanted it to last past Halloween. So I decided not to add any Halloween specific decor.

We finished the new raised garden beds and filled them with dirt. I don't have any vegetables yet, but hopefully this week.
I also decorated for fall and Halloween. It has been so different decorating this house. I don't have all of the pace I had in the other one. I have lots of lights left over because I decorated above the garage and at this house we have a sun setter so no lights there. I guess I will add them to my garage sale items.
