Ducks Find New Pond - My Driveway
I took some pictures of these ducks when my driveway was flooded. They thought my driveway was their pond as they swam around from my driveway onto the street.
I took the dogs on a golf cart ride yesterday and the birds were out in full force up at the other end of our street getting all of the bugs.
Some were sitting up on the fence.
My neighbor put up this sign. (The sign is at the edge of his yard) He is so funny. You have to have some humor in all of this. Can you believe that this end of the street had more water than we did? (This is after 5 days since the storm)
Some kids actually were in a kayaks on the street and the couple at the end raise koi fish and some of them got out and people had nets try to catch them.
This Great Egret was walking around my yard. I still have a lot of water.
He took off as I tried to get closer. You can see that the water is going down from my barn.
Each day I watch to see how much the water will go down today and hope it doesn't rain. My husband comes home on Sunday. I can't wait. At least I don't have to cut grass while my husband is away. lol!

Flooding In Southern Florida and My House
We have had plenty of the years, but never like this and the rain continues to come down. To put it in perspective, here is a picture of my barn that you have often seen.
The barn sits up rather high in the yard. However, this rain has filled my yard and is threatening to enter the barn. I hope not since I have so many things in there and don't know where to put them.
Here is the scene now.
Also, I just posted about Flowers in My Pineapple Patch. Here is the corner. Notice that the box is 2 boards high.
Now look at my pineapple patch. The water is over all the boards. You can only see some of the tops of the pineapples.
It is supposed to rain for the next 3-4 days. The house seems to be OK, but it is up to the second step into the house. Add to all of this; my husband is in Italy on business. He left last Friday before the rain started.
Keep all of us in your prayers. Thank you.
