Thanksgiving and Christmas Ideas on HIH

Thanksgiving is Coming

If you celebrate Thanksgiving this coming week, I want to wish you a blessed Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. I am especially thankful to all of you that support our party and take the time to stop by. Thank you so much!!

In this post - pretty velvet pumpkin placecard holders, chocolate covered strawberry turkeys, Nutter Butter cookie turkeys, a fun and festive easy felt Christmas garland, and tips for adding Ralph Lauren style to your holiday decor.

Hello and welcome to Happiness is Homemade!

I’m Susan, the writer and creative behind From the Bay to the Beach, where I share all things modern California coastal living — from décor and DIY to style and seasonal inspiration. I’m so excited to be hosting this month’s party and can’t wait to celebrate the cozy charm of November with all of you!

Each week here at Happiness is Homemade, we feature a roundup of favorite ideas and projects shared at the previous party — everything from delicious recipes to clever crafts and beautiful home décor. It’s always inspiring to see what everyone’s been creating!

So grab a cup of something warm, get comfy, and let’s dive into the heart of the fall season together.

Velvet Pumpkin Placecards

How cute are these itty bitty velvet pumpkin placecards?!? Love the real stems. Building Our Hive shows you how to make them step-by-step. They’ll add an elegant homemade touch to your Thanksgiving table.

Chocolate Covered Turkey Strawberries

I have a weakness when it comes to googly eyes, and these silly chocolate covered strawberry turkeys made me giggle. Cute and yummy, they’ll be fun dessert to make (and eat) with kids and adults alike. Organized Island shows you how!

Nutter Butter Turkey Cookies

For more silly and fun turkey dessert ideas, how about these Nutter Butter cookie turkeys? Again - those eyes make me smile. And who doesn’t love the combination of peanut butter and chocolate? Head to Drug Store Divas to find out how to make these no-bake delights.

DIY Christmas Felt Garland

Our very own Linda of A Labour of Life shares her easy DIY felt Christmas garland. This is the perfect craft to keep the kiddos busy at Thanksgiving, or to work on in front of the tv while you binge-watch Christmas movies. Plus, it can be customized to match your holiday decor. Head to A Labour of Life for details!

Ralph Lauren Christmas Decorating Style

Missy from Sonata Design has done it again with her gorgeous Ralph Lauren themed Christmas decor. This Christmas tree is stunning! Head to her blog to find out how you can add a little luxe to your own holiday decor, from the tree to the mantel and even the wall art!
