Pallet Wreaths and You're The Star
Pallet Wreaths and You're The Star
Happy Monday! Christmas is coming very soon. I always get so excited. I have everything done and I have been enjoying the time. We have gone out to dinner and walked around to see the lights. It is very festive here, even though it is Florida and no snow.
Our small town decorates like you wouldn't believe and the shops stay open on the weekends and there always seems to be some activity going on.

Decorated Blocks and Thursday Favorite Things
Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things Party
Happy Thursday. This month is flying by and Christmas will be here before we know it. I did my cards and mailed my packages yesterday. Then I wrapped my presents and put them under the tree.
I am so excited to be done. I am still deciding on whether or not to make cookies. I like to bake but I don't like all of those sweets being around. How to you feel about all of those desserts? Do you bake?
If you stopped by my DIY Sled Tray, you saw these decorated vintage blocks with trees. I created a post so you can make you own set. I hope you check it out.
Many of my features come from your comments. Don't forget to leave our Linkup Number or Post Title so I can find you and you might become one of my features for next week.

Blocks and Trees on Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop
Welcome to Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop!
Welcome to the party. I am so glad you stopped by. I finally finished decorating for Christmas and mailed my packages today. Tonight I am doing my cards. Hubby is out of town on business so I am getting so much done.
Still deciding on what cookies and desserts I am going to make. I haven't been eating much dessert lately so not sure I want lots of desserts around.
How is your decorating and shopping going? Do you bake?
Last week I share my Winter Wonderland Sled Tray with you and on that sled I had made these mold, block trees. I wanted to share with you how to make your own.
On to the party!

Molds, Blocks and Trees
Molds, Blocks and Trees
As part of my Winter Wonderful Tray, I added these trees to my sled. They were quite easy to create since I had all of the materials on hand.
vintage molds or any metal tins
vintage blocks or wooden blocks
Christmas trees from Dollar Tree
paint
modge podge
glitter
This is what I wanted to create:
1. Paint your molds or metal tins. If you don't have any vintage molds, you can find metal tins at Hobby Lobby. I sanded them lightly for the paint to adhere.
Then I sprayed them with some chalk paint I had.
2. I was lucky to find three letters that I could use, J and O. The Y was on one but it was not raised so I just painted over it.
You could always find some wooded blocks or make your own. You could also use round pieces of wood. You can fins those at Hobby Lobby or cut up some tree branches. lol!
3. Once the molds and the blocks were ready, I glued them all together and let them dry.
Then I got out my Modge Podge and using a paint brush that is about 3/4 inch wide, brushed it on the mold and the block. I also brush some strokes up the tress.
Then sprinkled everything with glitter and let it dry.
It is a nice reminder for me since these blocks belonged to my son. I remember him playing with them.
