I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Weekend. At least for some, it will be a short week. Always nice to have an extra day off. I worked on a couple of projects, although they aren't done yet. Happy Memorial Day. I don't know about you, but we are having a quiet day at home. Doing some yard work, a few projects and relaxing. My daughter is coming over for a cook out later. I know some people are heading to the beach. I saw pictures of hundreds of people at Atlantic City at the beach. I just could not be in a crowd like that.How are you celebrating memorial Day - At home or are you venturing out?

Trees Bathed in Sunlight
Trees Bathed in Sunlight
The other night, we were outside as the sun was beginning to set over the lake. The red/orange glow on the trees was so beautiful. I ran in the house to get my phone. It was amazing. It lit up the trees.
As I was taking that picture, I realized that the whole yard was bathe in sun light. I have never seen it like that before.
I managed to get another picture just as the sun was beginning to set. You can see all of the oaks are glowing . it didn't last long but it was a beautiful sight.
I hope you enjoyed seeing this different sun set.

Happy Memorial Weekend. What are your plans for this holiday? I saw so many campers when I was coming back from Ft. Lauderdale. Some said they were going no matter what. We are home. Just doing things around the house. I had to weed my garden, replant some flowers and fixed a broken plant stand. We did Thai takeout last night but the rest of the weekend we will be grilling out.
My favorite part of these parties is reading your comments. I feel like I get to know you and that we are almost like "texting" back and forth. You share your stories with me and I share mine - just like friends. So keep them coming.

Happy Memorial Weekend. This holiday may be a little different than ones in the past, but that's OK. I see more people walking these days or riding bikes. Just spending time with their family. Maybe slowing down a little is a good thing.The thing that I miss the most is hugging. I can't wait for the day to hug my daughter, family members and friends. That will be a great day. In the mean time, I can still see them even if they have masks on. Those masks do free you up to skip makeup though.
