Ash Wednesday is this week and begins the Lent season which will last for 40 days. Lent involves the dual disciplines of abstinence and fasting. During Lent many Christians commit to fasting or giving up certain foods, habits or luxuries - for example meat, cakes and sweets, alcohol, smoking - for its duration. I try to do 2 things during lent - give up sweets (which I love dearly) and read my Bible every night.

March is here and that should mean spring is coming, but for some in the north, the weekend means more snow. Yikes! We can stay indoors and check out all of the fabulous posts at the party.
