Creating A Memory
Creating A Memory
As many of you know, my Mom passed away in February. On April 28th, she would have been a hundred. She was an amzing woman. I miss her so much.
After the funeral, I pulled two roses from one of the baskets. When I brought them home, I just placed them on a table. I kept moving them around, trying to decided what to do with them.
I was arranging some pieces on my shelf when it came to me - put them in a frame.
I already had this frame with no backing, so I cut a piece of cardboard to fit in the frame and them wrapped it with this jute ribbon. I am not sure where I got it, I think at a sale.
I just glued it on the back of the cardboard and then hot glued it in the corners on the back of the frame.
Since they had been lying on my table, they were flat on one side. So I placed them together and wrapped a piece of fabric around them. The leaves had dried nicely too, so I added one at the top. I hot glued it all in place.
I placed the frame on top of this cabinet near a picture of my Mom when she was little. You can see her picture in the background.
This is my Mom when she was 3 years old.
