Valentine Garland with Felt Hearts
Valentine Garland with Felt Hearts
I love to make things from items that I have on hand and this garland was no exception. I had both of these pink felt squares and yarn, so I was able to create this garland.
These felt hearts go together quickly. I love to sit at night and finish the edges. I use a blanket stitch around the edges. You can find many tutorials online on creating a blanket stitch - it is easy.
When I had finished making the felt hearts, I used a large needle with some twine to go through all of the the hearts. These hearts are about 3 1/2 inches wide and you can see the large needle going through the middle.
I also had a few hearts that were made from old quilts that I put on the mantel.
This is such a simple garland but I love the way it looks on my mantel.
I am happy with my garland, since I didn't have to purchase anything to make it. My kind of projects.

Hi Beverly! Oh, your little garland is so cute! I used to make felt ornaments for my granddaughter and I've made some for myself and I too always used the blanket stitch. Hope your weekend is going well.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
