Thursday Favorite Things Party
Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things Party
Happy Thursday! Well, it seems to be back to "normal" this week after all of the holiday festivities. I managed to get most of the Christmas decorations put away on Monday. it has been a little slow going since I have been going through stuff and deciding what I wanted to keep or get rid of.
I keep certain Christmas decor in a "cedar" chest that I bought in China a number of years ago. It too needed to be sorted out. Then there were places in my buffet that had pieces. So the process of putting back decorations, started to slow down. I am almost done. The tree is still up waiting for hubby to take it apart. I am excited that I have been able to get so many places cleaned. I am going to work on the rest of the house before I have a garage sale in February. This is unheard of for me - lol!

Dealing with the Christmas decorations sounds very much like Passover. It's exciting getting everything out after a full year, but a bind to pack it all away again not much later!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is nice to get it out, but then I said, well I haven't used that in a few years so should I keep it. I usually keep it but this year, I actually got rid of stuff.
DeleteHave a lovely weekend.
Hugs,
Bev

Hi, Bev, Happy New Year! In Mexico, the Christmas season ends on the twelfth day with Epiphany Day, when we eat a special bread and children get gifts from The Wise Men; decorations come down after that, although some families keep their nativities on display as far as February 2nd (The presentation of Jesus at the temple). That means I am just starting the packing-away process around here; I am impressed by your organizing and cleaning achievements! Thank you for hosting another great TFT party; I am sharing #186 Couscous Salad with a Mexican Twist. Have an awesome week!
ReplyDeleteIrene,
DeleteThat sounds like a lovely ending to the holiday. I just finished today but the tree is still up and is waiting for hubby to take it down. Enjoy putting all of your decorations away for another year. Your Couscous Salad sounds awesome.
Hugs,
Bev
