You're The Star - Home Feature Week
Welcome to You're The Star - Home Feature Week
Happy Monday. so delighted to see you here. I hope you had an awesome weekend. I know it has been very cold up north and many places have had snow, so if you are there, stay warm and be safe.
I planted some blueberry bushes on Saturday and put some butternut squash seeds in pots. Our planting season has started, which is crazy with the wintery weather up north. Funny how there are the different seasons and weather conditions between the north and the south. My azaleas even started to bloom which is early for them, but we have had some warm temps lately and they got confused.
I hope you have a wonderful week ahead.

Debbie,
DeleteI hope you are doing well and that the snow has taken a break. My Mom said it has been warmer this week. Hope you are getting some of that.

Hi Bev - congrats on the blueberry bushes. I have one in my front yard and after a few years of care it went bananas these last two years! But the critters also love them..... so last year I made an easy blueberry bush cover from PVC pipe and deer block mesh. And it worked! Hopefully you won't have the same problem - here's the link if you want to try. (https://everydayoldhouse.com/how-to-build-a-simple-diy-blueberry-bush-cage/) This year I think I'm going to paint the PVC pipe green for camouflage. Thanks for hosting! Jen (#233 this week)
ReplyDeleteJen,
DeleteThanks for the info. I really like your cage. I think I have all the things I need to make one. The critters did enjoy most of my blackberries last year. I didn't realize you needed at least two bushes. Oh well, I will try this one and see what happens.
Thanks again for the tips.
Hugs,
Bev
