Garbage pickup is like dumpster diving without having to climb into a dumpster.
I just grabbed them and put them on our golf cart. The dogs love riding on the golf cart so every evening we take them for a ride, if possible.
I didn't take the time to see if they were broken or not, but they looked pretty good.
When we got home, I checked them out and it seemed that all they needed was to be cleaned up. One had some really bad stains on the seat and lots of scratches.
These had certainly seen lots of wear and weather.
I sanded them lightly and then stained them with Early American Stain from Home Depot. I used a small brush to get into all of the nooks and crannies.
What a difference the stain made. I lightly sanded again and applied a coat of Minwax Satin Polycrylic Protective Finish
I want to take this chairs camping with us for extra seating and wanted to protect them.
It is always nice to have some extra chairs when camping, especially ones that fold up like these.
On our last camping trip, we went to a flea market and I saw chairs like these but in really bad condition. Some even had the slats missing and they wanted $15-25 for each one.
I saw some online that were really expensive. My husband thinks that we should sell them, but I am not having it.
The "trash" is now my treasure and I enjoy using them while camping.
