Welcome to Happiness is Homemade Party
Happy Sunday to everyone. I know that we are still staying at home and trying to stay healthy. Although it can be difficult, keeping this virus at bay is our primary goal. No one wants to be the recipient of it.
With that in mind, I am seeing some amazing ideas for being at home: things for the kids to do, lots of DIY projects, things to do when you are bored or recipes you can tackle.
Are you doing new projects or maybe trying to finish up some that you started? Have you made any new recipes? How are the kids handling being at home? Share your thoughts, I would love to hear them. I am doing lots of gardening. Any body else gardening?
Welcome to another week of Happiness Is Homemade link party! My name is Katie of Love My Messy Messy Mess and I just KNOW it's going to be a fabulous week - it's my birthday week!
I'm quickly approaching 40 but I have one year left, so it's lucky number 39 for me! I'm going to live up my last year in my 30's with lots of friends, family time, camping, good wine and good food!
All of my features this week are favorites of mine - special treats, food, decor and CHECKING THINGS OFF OF LISTS!
Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #319 Features
Britt from Not Your Mom's Gifts put together this great little lots-of-time-at-home list of 10 Things You Have to Try When You're Bored at Home - because NOTHING feels better than crossing items off of your to-do list! I especially want to FINISH a book!
When I was a young single girl, one of my favorite weekend activities was popping a bottle of champs, binge watch SITC eating french bread pizza. I saw this recipe shared by Tracey from The Kitchen Is My Playground for Easy Supreme French Bread Pizza and it totally took me back!
With all of this extra time spent at home I've been looking around my own home and thinking of ways to change things up a bit. I don't necessarily like to spend much money on home decor but sometimes a change is needed. This great post from Yvonne of Stone Gable gives you 7 Tips for Decorating with Neutrals - a great way to incorporate pieces that can be used anywhere or throughout your house.
Confession time - I absolutely LOVED Dunkaroos when I was a kid. I had a major sweet tooth, and don't get me wrong I still do. Just a little sweet is all I need these days, not a whole box like I used to be able to eat. I have to try this recipe for Homemade Dunkaroos and see if it fits the bill!
Another one, took me straight back. This rainbow treat is DELIGHTFUL to look at and would be so fun to make with the boys - yum! Click on Sarah's recipe for Rainbow Jello is a must-try from her blog Must Have Mom.
Thanks again for joining us at this party - remember to click around and visit all the wonderful inspiration our party has to offer!

Hi Beverly, IL just announced kids will not being going back to school this year so it's a mental adjustment for sure. I'm hoping to take advantage of my time at home by making a list of my projects "I never have time for" and checking them off one by one. Have a great week!
ReplyDeletePamela,
DeleteWow, I know that must be a huge adjustment for all. Good luck. I hope you can get some things done for you during this time. I find myself doing so many others things around the house that I don't get the projects I want done, but that is OK.
Stay safe and healthy.
Hugs,
Bev
