Happy Monday and welcome to Halloween Week. Are you getting tired of all the Halloween crafts, tablescapes, decor and recipes?  Well, you will only have to deal with it for 4 more days and then off to another holiday - Thanksgiving (if you are in the states).

On a different note, can you believe that November is the end of this week? Yikes, where do all of these days go? 
We went to a craft fair here in Mount Dora and it was huge. They expect 400,000 people will attend. It was so crowded that at certain places, you could barely move - baby steps. Some many creative ideas. Each year I am always amazed at all of the new ideas they come up with.

I was cleaning up some of my old recipes and came across the pumpkin bars. They appeared in a Taste of Home in 2004. I don't remember ever making them, but I had all of the ingredients on hand so I said, "why not today". Do you save old magazines that have recipes? I could not believe how many I had and that was not counting all of my cook books.

Happiness is Halloween a special Halloween edition. I mean hello is there anything better than planning a few ghoulish surprises. The link ups last week have not made the selection easy. Honestly so much spooky goodness to choose from.

Let's start off with a few Last Minute decor ideas from Hippie at Home. Easy and super thrifty last minute Halloween decorations can be ready in a flash but will look like they took all day to create. Such a cute display if you are looking for some last minute ideas.

Could we have a linkup with an awesome tablescape featured? I adore this Happy Halloween Vintage inspired table from Follow the Yellow Brick Home. She stated how much she enjoyed creating this vintage inspired “Happy Halloween” tablescape instead of a dark and scary one by using just a few Halloween decorations, some fall treats, and vintage treasures that work well for a Halloween-themed table.

Halloween Cocktail

Near and dear to my heart an awesome cocktail celebrating the All Hallow's Eve celebrations. With its deep dark red color from black cherry juice and grenadine, this Dracula's Blood Cocktail is simply perfect for Halloween sipping. Drop in some plastic vampire teeth to add to the Halloween cocktail fun!

Happy Halloween Cupcakes, Claire Justine has created the cutest Halloween Treat. She didn't stop with the Ghosts pictures here, she has created 9 fun Cupcakes that the children can help you with.

Puppy Power

I had to add a special treat in for this week. How cute is this Spooky Loofah Puppy Costume from Love my Little Cottage. One of the cutest internet dog costumes (in my opinion) is the dog loofa. I bought orange loofas and added a skeleton to make Hercules’ costume a Spooky Loofa Dog Halloween Costume.

Today, it is difficult to think of fall when we are having very hot temps - almost 90. This is unusual for us and I was enjoying the cooler weather. However, the temperature is to drop tonight to 66 and only a high of 80 tomorrow. The weather just seems to be crazy everywhere. One day it is hot, then it drops. Up and down it goes. Is your weather doing that?

Well, it is Thursday again and I hope that you are enjoying this October. We are over half way through this month and I wish it would just slow down a bit. I am finally ready for Halloween. All except for the candy. I still need to get that but the house is done. 

Since we were not here last year, I am not sure how many kids we will get. I hate to buy too much candy because then I eat it. Do you get lots of kids for Halloween or do you do something else?

Welcome to You're The Star - Creative Feature Week

Happy Monday. I hope you had an awesome weekend. Ours was so beautiful. The temperature was perfect and the evenings were cool. Well cool for central Florida. I decorated for fall and Halloween. I drive my husband crazy because I am always looking for plugs to plug in something. I have not gotten this new house set up the way I had the old house. He was so kind to put in an electrical box on our pole lamp so I could plug in some lights. At least I will be ready for Christmas.

When we got back from our trip up north, I tried to get the house ready for fall and Halloween. I thought of many ways to decorate the mantel but I wanted it to last past Halloween. So I decided not to add any Halloween specific decor.

We have had the most beautiful weekend here in central Florida. With our new patio done, I moved our furniture outside and we have been enjoying spending time outside. 

We finished the new raised garden beds and filled them with dirt. I don't have any vegetables yet, but hopefully this week. 

I also decorated for fall and Halloween. It has been so different decorating this house. I don't have all of the pace I had in the other one. I have lots of lights left over because I decorated above the garage and at this house we have a sun setter so no lights there. I guess I will add them to my garage sale items.

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope your week has been great.  We drove back home on Wednesday. Another long trip home. It wouldn't be so bad but some much construction made it less than desirable. We had a lovely time and I enjoyed the cooler weather. 

I bought a few pumpkins and some Halloween decorations so I will be decorating for Halloween today. Although I am still tired from the trip, I can finish some tomorrow. Have you decorated for Halloween?

Welcome to Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop!

I am still up north and enjoying visiting with family and friends. Monday was quite rainy. In fact, it rained all day. That I can do with out but today was sunny and nice. 

The dogs have been so good but I think they are bored. They are so use to being outside and here the yard is not fenced and it is close to the road, so they have limited time out doors. Several mornings they woke me up at 3:30 to go outside. Fortunately, they go right back to sleep. I think they will be happy to be home again.
