I am going Green to day! With St. Patrick's Day coming soon, I choose some awesome features that you might want to try. 

I am still working on the house as we get it ready to sell. We are doing somethings that were NOT on the list, like putting in plants along the side of the house. We had some there but I didn't like them so we took them out. Yesterday, we decided to put some back. Now that bed is a little over 40 feet. We couldn't have picked something smaller to tackle and of course it is in the sun and it was a hot one today - 87 degrees. I felt like a lobster.

Can you believe that this is the last Saturday in February? Time is flying and soon it will be March. Hopefully it will mean warmer weather.  I know some are having some strong winds and ice. Hope you are safe and keeping warm.

With Mardi Gras fast approaching, Audrey has some info about that holiday. Check out her comments below:

Those of you outside of the Gulf Coast might not be familiar with Mardi Gras. The literal translation is Fat Tuesday, the Day before Ash Wednesday when you eat all of the fatty sweet foods in your home before Lent begins. But, in New Orleans and the surrounding areas the celebration has become a weeks long secular party filled with parades and music and beads that can start as early as January 6th. I hope the features this week inspire you to celebrate the spirit of Mardi Gras at home with recipes, crafts and tablescapes. And since we are learning about the world, I added one wordly DIY project. It seems as though another winter storm has hit the north. Hope you are keeping safe and warm. Sorry to say that we are having beautiful weather here in south Florida. I have been working outside in my flower beds and in my barn. It is so nice to spend all day outside. The dogs love it. They are so tired when we come in. They sleep well.

I know that February is a short month but wow, it is flying by. Only 10 more days in this month. I guess I am hoping that the days go slowly. I am cleaning, painting, scrubbing and sorting everything in my home. We are getting ready to sell it so I am going crazy and wish I had more hours in my day. 

Have you ever sold your house? If you have, you know it is a crazy time. Hopefully, one day soon I will get to relax. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the party.

I don't know about you, I love to find different sided dishes. Peas are one of our favorite vegetables and we also love pancetta, so this seemed to be a great combination. 

Many of these side dishes add onions to them and although I love onions, my stomach does not. So no onions in my dish, I added some fresh Parmesan cheese on top.

Spring is trying to come to south Florida. The weather has warmed up quite a bit - low 80s. Evenings are still cool so it is nice. Hope the weather were you are isn't too cold. 

I haven't posted a lot lately, we are getting our house in Davie ready to sell. Lots of little things to do. I have gone through almost every closet and drawer. Purging so much. That part feels great, but trying to decide what furniture to keep has been over whelming. Going from a 3800 sq. ft house to a 2000 sq ft. has it challenges, but I am getting there. So you may not see too much from me, until after march when we put the house on the market. I will not stop my parties however.

Winter has been crazy with warm temps then very cold and then warm again.  Some places are having more snow than usual, while California is experiencing devastating weather conditions. I hope you are all safe. Although spring is not here yet, Audrey is getting us in the mood.

As a promise of good things to come when Spring finally gets here again, I have some lovely flower and fruit themed features for you all this week: a few vintage recipes, some lovely images, an inspired home decor project and some gardening too. I am so excited that you have stopped by our party. I hope your weekend has been going well. Mine is OK. Car issues are never a joy. We drove up to our other house on Thursday and the trip was rather uneventful until we were about an hour out. We could tell the car was not doing well. At first we thought we had gotten some bad gas but the closer we came, other issues started to happen. Long story short, we did arrive safely but now need our transmission fixed.  That, we were not expecting and we have to leave it for a week. We keep a second car here that is old, so we are hoping it makes it home.

Welcome to the party! I hope everyone survived the cold last week. It is just hitting us here in Southern California after 4 days of rain. It is nice to see the sun, but it is so cold my 10 year old actually put on a sweatshirt without arguing! The Super Bowl has come and gone. Hope your team won. I am going out on a limb here and say that I thought the commercials were the worst I have seen. Although the best one was where all of the retired players were at the banquet when the gold ball fell to the floor. Now that was great!

 It is February and the weather has warmed up in most places. At least warmer than it was. Valentine's Day is fast approaching. Do you decorate for Valentine's Day. I do a little but I did manage to make a goodie for my honey. You can see it below.

With Valentine's Day only a few days away, how about a tasty morsel for your sweetie, or maybe just to indulge yourself. The nice thing about these bites are that they are "bite size"!  So if you are trying to watch the calories, these little bites will do the trick. Now I can't say they are low calories, but you only need a small bite to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I hope that you are experiencing some warmer weather. Ours has been so much warmer although we had some rain. I don't mind. my garden could use it. My friend and I went to pick strawberries this morning. We tried not to eat too many, they were so good. I didn't make anything exciting to put them on, I thought we would just have some with whipped cream.

Hi there, It's Audrey from Munofore, not to be confused with Audrey from That Recipe. She is a crazy lady that talks to herself. Okay, okay! I am the crazy lady... with two blogs: That Recipe (food) and Munofore (MUsings NOt FOod RElated: mostly crafts, gardening, and healthy aging posts these days). Add in a husband and 10 year old son, is it any reason I talk to myself? I have the privilege of picking our features for the next two months and I am so excited!
