This recipe all started after seeing a recipe that Jas (All That's Jas) had posted. Her recipe was for ribs and they looked so good, but I had a pork tenderloin and thought that maybe I could use the rub on it instead of ribs. Thanksgiving is behind us for all of us in the States. Did you do any Black Friday shopping? Not me. I did it once and that was enough. I might wait for Cyber Monday and buy online or when the stores slow down a little. I started Christmas decorating. Have you?  I actually turned my outside lights on tonight. I love the house decorated. 

Now on with the party since it is the last party for Katie for this month. Here's Katie:

Alas, my last week for hosting is upon us - Thanksgiving has come and gone, and not to mention a busy weekend of Christmas shopping and decorating for the holiday!

I am proud to say I have held off on my Christmas decorating until AFTER Thanksgiving - must give credit where credit is due.  I don't want to step on Thanksgiving's toes!

Is it my imagination or did the holidays arrive EARLY this season? Yes, of course they did. Since when is Thanksgiving on November 22? I could have used another week, how about you? LOL! You go all-out decorating your homes, preparing special meals and making everything "just-so!" We can hardly wait to see what you have for us this week. I know that some of you (in the states) will be having a white Thanksgiving. I don't remember having snow on Thanksgiving but it must be beautiful. My son has sent me lots of picture of all the snow and of the kids sled riding. How much fun is that! I remember doing that with the grand kids last year. We had a blast but it was in December.  We are cooler here in Florida but no snow.

One week from today will be Thanksgiving. Can you believe it? I know I have said this before, but where has this year gone.  I am looking forward to some downtime with my family. We are taking some extra time off next week since my husband has been traveling so much this month. It will make the holiday last even longer.

I know that many of you have started to decorate for Christmas. Although I have not started yet, I am getting ready. I weeded all of my flower beds, power washed the driveway, walkway and part of the deck. I also washed windows. This probably sounds silly and not actually getting ready for Christmas, but for me it is. We have our annual office Christmas party at your home and I wanted to get the outside done before moving in doors. 

I am going to start indoors on Wednesday. I might even get the tree up. Wish me luck!

I know that many of you are dealing with cold temp these days. But here in Florida it is garden planting time. We were able to put in our tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and zucchini yesterday. I have never grown eggplant before so I am anxious to see how it does. 

I also started watermelon and carrots from seeds in a tray and then I will plant them later.  I wanted to make my beds bigger so I would have more room, but I will wait until next year to do that.

Katie from Love My Mess  is our hostess for the month of November. Katie shares what is going on in her life.  My motivation has actually been kicked up a notch since the snow has started to fly here at my farmhouse.  I'm determined to empty out the storage unit we rented when we moved last January.  Only about 15 boxes left - mostly old baby clothes that need to be sorted and distributed to the various donation spots.

November is off to a great start. Our weather is still warm but not high humidity. I will take it. I actually spent the day, washing windows outside. I thought I would get a head start on getting ready for Christmas. When my husband came home, he started to power wash the driveway. I got the front door area done as well. I was so proud of myself.

I got my computer back (Yay!) and I got an extra hour of sleep last night, but I don't like the fact that it gets darker earlier. I love to walk in the evenings and I used to walk around 7:30. Then it went to 6:45, followed by 5:45. Not sure how early I will have to walk tonight.

Hope you had a fabulous Halloween. We had a pizza party first and then we took off on our golf carts, we had about 15 golf carts. The weather was beautiful.
