It's Soup Time on HIH
Happy New Year Everyone, hard to believe another year has passed us by and 2026 is upon us. There has been so many great features shared with us every week and I truly hope Y’all continue sharing into 2026.For a New Year I am trying something new for theme focus.
For this week, celebrating all that is winter and to deal with all the snow and cold, I chose a Soup theme. Is there anything better than a hearty soup to ward off the chill.
A fresh soupy start, and as I mentioned last week January is back to me, A Labour of Life. So Let's see what you have been up to.

Southern Great Northern Beans With Leftover Ham Bone
These Great Northern Beans with Leftover Ham Bone are close to soup or stew, thick and creamy, just what comfort food is all about!
Kay from Old School Cooking! tells us her Mother was an old-school cook who made use of the simple conveniences available at the time. She used the ham bone to build the flavor of the beans and followed up with salt and pepper to taste, resulting in pure comfort food at its best.
Instant Pot Beef Barley Soup Quick and Delicious
Flour on my Face shares Beef Barley Soup with a thick and rich broth full of flavor made in a pressure cooker.
Slow Cooker Hamburger Soup Recipe
This Hamburger Soup in the Slow Cooker from 3Boys and a Dog is a favorite of over 50 ground beef recipes in their arsenal of yummy belly fillers! You can adapt the ingredients to better fit your family.
A Hearty Winter Minestrone You’ll Make All Season
Make a pot of winter minestrone filled with rich broth, tender veggies, and pasta. It’s wholesome, satisfying and the best cold-weather food.
Let’s talk about the kind of soup that doesn’t just warm you up — it revives your soul. The kind that makes your kitchen smell like an Italian restaurant and a cozy cabin had a delicious little baby. The kind that makes your family wander in asking, “WHAT is that smell?” even though you literally just sautéed onions and garlic like the domestic goddess you are.
This Creamy Chicken Parmesan Shell Soup is exactly that kind of recipe.
