All Around the House on Happiness Is Homemade

Welcome to this week's Happiness is Homemade party #588. Yes, we have hosted 588 weekly blog parties and we are still having fun! Let me try my math skills out here a little bit ... 588 divided by 52 weeks per year = 11.3 YEARS!
Proof positive that hosting blog parties is fun, or we wouldn't still be doing it. LOL
And, even more than fun ... it helps parents, writers, crafters, cooks, decorators, artists, teachers and on and on. Blog parties give visibility to our guests' creations and we like helping people. You can do your part, even if you don't fall into those categories, by enjoying the posts shared by our guests. Visit them, share them, and leave nice comments. Try it ... you'll like it! ❤️ This month of June, I am the host who gets to create our parties. My name is Sinea and my blog is Ducks 'n a Row. It is my privilege to pick out our features from the previous party to spotlight. I think I found a nice variety for you to enjoy. Please do share this party on your social media to remind people to come over and join us? New posts can be added for several days, now, so keep coming back to see what's new! ..My first pick is this DIY project. A Pretty Pink Floral Planter Mug by Creative Moments. Isn't it lovely? She made it herself. Personally, I use coffee mugs for all sorts of things: coffee (of course,) pen & pencil holder, toothbrush holder in the powder room and, yes, as a vase for FLOWERS! This one is pretty enough to give as a gift!

Whole Wheat Sourdough Journey from Scratch Made Food for Hungry People is up next. I have to admit that I am a lazy baker. If ever I am going to get to taste a savory piece of this yummy, warm-from-the-oven homemade bread, I will have to forward the recipe to my baking-friend and have her do it! She will love it and, if I bring the specialty coffee, will willingly share! LOL

Perfect Blueberry Pie from Seasonal and Holiday Recipe Exchange is number three in this week's "hit parade!"
Am I aging myself? For you "young uns" I will interpret: The Hit Parade was a list of the top favorite songs of the week and it first appeared in Billboard Magazine during the early 1930's (way before my time!)
Back to this PIE! Doesn't it look scrumptious? Now, I know I can make this but maybe my baking friend would like two new projects???? ...
How to Make a Patriotic Wooden Star Banner by Crazy Little Love Birds
Our readers in the USA may know this but among patriotic holidays of the spring-summer season we not only have Memorial Day and the 4th of July, but we also have "Flag Day!" Flag Day is celebrated every June 14th and it commemorates the day that the US Continental Congress adopted the design for our first American flag, June 14, 1777. Guess what? The US ARMY was also born that very same day, June 14, 1775, just 2 years prior. This year they celebrate their 250th anniversary. (Oh yes, and hang onto your hats, our current President Donald J Trump's 79th birthday is also this June 14th! A lot happens on that date. ) Anyhow, whether Flag Day or July 4th or another patriotic time, this wooden star banner is a lovely decoration to add to your celebration. ...
