DIY Dollar Tree Spring Wreath
Since I am anxiously waiting for spring so I decided to make a spring wreath. I wanted it for my back door since we come in that door all the time. I also could not be too fat, since we have a screen door and it would squash it.
I saw these wooden bead wreaths at Dollar Tree and thought this would be perfect. Next, I had to get some sullies for it.
I found pink and purple ribbon and some flowers. I choose ones that were small in design since the wooden wreath was not large.
The first thing I did was to separate all of the flowers. I used a pair of snips to do this. I used two dark purple, one light purple and two pink flowers for each set. I wrapped each set with twine to hold them together.
Once I had each set done, I used some more twine to join both sets together. I cut off any extra stems that I didn't need so it would ly flat.
I attached the flowers to the beaded wreath form. I used twine to tie the flowers onto the back of the beaded form.
Finally, I made a bow using the two ribbons. However, they looked better in the package than when I took it off the roll. They were very sheer and you could not tell the difference in their color, but I had already bought it and used it anyway. I tried several other ribbons with them, but nothing worked.

Your wreath is so pretty Beverly! I too have to have something without too much depth for my front door...great idea! Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteChristie,
DeleteThank you for the kind words about my wreath. I hear you, sometimes you need something slimmer on your door. Have a great week.
Hugs,
