Bats, Branches and Bows
I have a very inexpensive project for you and everything comes from the Dollar Tree and your back yard. I call it my bats, branches and bows project.
I had to start creating some Halloween decor. I kept seeing all of the posts about fall and Halloween so when I went into the Dollar Tree the other day, I found these packages of bats.
The great thing about these bats was that they had clips on the back so I could easily attach them to branches.
Although I liked the bats, I thought I would paint their eyes red. I had some red paint and dabbed it on. You don't need to do this if you don't want to. Hopefully, you can see their red eyes in this picture.
I headed in the back yard for some branches. I found one that had some moss on it. That would work well. I gather a couple more sticks. Hubby gave me this blue/green vase on my birthday with flowers in it. Although it is new, I like the shape and color.
I did place some floral foam in the bottom to hold the branches. Once the branches were secured, I started to add the bats.
Of the 4 packages of bats, I used all of them except for 2. I needed something more. A bow around the vase. I also found this at the Dollar Tree. First I tied some ribbon around the vase and then made a bow and attached it.
While at the store, I also found these Halloween shot glasses, at least that's what I think they are. I wasn't really sure what I was going to use them for, just bought them.
I put a tea light in them and put them around the vase.
So for $6 I was able to create my Bats, Branches and Bows. I am so excited that I created my first fall/Halloween project. Maybe I will go in the attic and get my fall and Halloween stuff down.
