Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things Party
Happy Thursday! Wow, I can't believe that we are nearing the end of August. Summer is just flying by. With summer, it means lots of heat and we are having it but those in the north are having hot temps as well. I think some places up north are hotter than here in central Florida. Talk about climate change!
Of course the heat means swimming and keeping cool, if you can. Even the dogs are not happy to be outside for too long. On these hot days, I give them frozen watermelon. I they love it and it seems to cool them down. I just cut up small pieces and freeze them on a tray and then put them in a container. Do you do anything special for your pets when it is hot?
Have a great rest of your week and weekend!

DeleteWow, that is cold for me, although right now it would feel nice. Love your pumpkins. I thought they were made from pallet boards when I first looked at it. So clever.

Debbie,
Deleteit seems as though your garden loves all of that rain and heat even if you don't. Your plants look beautiful. I love those yarn pumpkins. I have so many of those. Great idea.
Have a great weekend.

Bev
My dogs love ice cubes! Thanks for the wonderful party, Bev. I’ve linked at #57.
ReplyDeleteSandra,
DeleteMy dogs don't eat the ice cubes, I think they want to taste something. lol! I have put bone broth into ice cube trays and they like that, but once again, they can taste them.
Love your tablescape. You have such beautiful dinnerware. Those candleholders are lovely.
Have a great weekend.

Bev

DeleteHappy Thursday to you too. I hope you are feeling better.

Hi, Bev! It is still pretty hot around here in Southern, Ontario. When my dog was young, he liked frozen bananas with peanut butter, but as a senior citizen, he doesn't like cold foods anymore; he still enjoys cut-up watermelon. Thank you for hosting another great party; I am sharing #69 A Healthy breakfast with Paddle cactus (nopales). Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIrene,
DeleteI guess the heat is hanging around for awhile. My older one has a bit of a problem with the frozen watermelon but they do like cut up watermelon as well. I have seen paddles in the grocery store but had no idea what to do with them. Now I know.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Bev
Thank you dearest Bev for hosting such an inspiring Party!

Daniela,
DeleteThank you for always stopping by. I wanted to tell you that I started to read a book about the Wedding Dress and in it they go to Paris and the House of Worth for them to design the dress. If I had not read your post on the House of Worth, I would not have known about that designer.
Thanks for your great stories.
Hugs,
Bev
Thank you so much for featuring my Honey and Applesauce Cake! Have a great week ahead, take care. Today sharing at 112, 115, and 116.
ReplyDeleteHi! I love your watermelon frozen treat idea for your doggies - so fun! So different for cats lol. They def wouldn't eat that (or really much other than their reg food!!) I'm sharing #118 today. Have a great weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteSuchot,
DeleteYes, they love watermelon, even just cut up fresh. No, I can't see cats liking watermelon. How was your trip?
Your pumpkin waffles sound yummy. Love that car waffle iron. So cute.
