Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things Party
Happy Thursday! Can you believe that we are still having rain? Wow, everyday, mostly late afternoon thru evening, we get these huge storms. The poor dogs hate this weather, not only because of the thunder but every time they need to go to the bathroom, it is raining.
The garden is certainly loving all of the rain and my blackberries are forming fruit again. That's weird. The squash are getting larger by the day. I have had to put the squash in the freezer because they are ripening so fast.
My brother-in-law came down from Georgia and brought a bushel of peaches. They were so good, but when I had back problems last week, I wasn't able to can any so I cut them and placed them on trays and froze them and then hubby vacuum packed them. I did make hubby a peach pie for Father's Day. It is is favorite dessert.
What have you been up to? Any garden veggies or fruit? Have a wonderful day!

Lisa,
DeleteWow, I love those dishes. What a lovely set they were. I can't believe the prices. Funny how so many dishes were available at grocery stores and have become collectable.
Good luck on your new job. How exciting is that!
Hugs,
Bev
Hi, Bev; My garden is looking very healthy and green, since we have had a lot of rain, as well. Thank you for hosting another great party, and especially for featuring my Moussaka; this week I am sharing #102 Cuete Mechado - Mexican Style Pot Roast. Have an awesome week!
ReplyDeleteIrene,
DeleteIt is amazing how rain makes a difference. You are so welcome for the feature. That pot roast looks yummy too.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
Hugs,
Bev
Peach pie might just be my favorite pie <3 Today we had a sprinkler play date with one of Miss O's friends down the street. It's so nice to have kid friends right in our neighborhood. Today I'm sharing #87 and #88. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteSuchot,
DeleteI wish I could send you some peaches. After awhile, I get tired looking at them and you can only eat so many. I bet Miss O loved her play date. it's nice that she can get together with her friends.
Finding planters is hard. I find some great ones at Dollar Tree but if you don't get them early, then you loose. I need a large one and they are harder to find and are always more expensive.
Hugs,
Bev
Thanks for featuring my puppy challenges in the garden post along with the other great bloggers! Puppy Finn is fascinated by the rain, but Jake - not so much, lol! Today I've linked numbers 24 and 26.
ReplyDeleteSandra,
DeleteYou are so welcome for the feature. Finn is so cute. My Louie doesn't like the rain but his momma enjoys it. They each have such great personalities.
Enjoy that little one.
Hugs,
Bev
Hope you see some relief from the rain soon! Dropping by from #ChasingMYLife to bring you my SHRIMP PAD THAI, TOMATO SCALLOPED POTATOES and P3 PISTACHIO PLUM PLATZ. Thank you for hosting another GREAT party. I’m looking forward to visiting links over the next few days. I hope you’re having a WONDERFUL week.
ReplyDeleteTamy,
DeleteWe love Pad Thai. In fact I made it last night but I used chicken. I have never done shrimp, but you have given me the idea. Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipes.
Hugs,
Bev
Thanks Bev for hosting and sharing your garden update. It's nice to know you are fortunate to have all the water you need. Here in AZ where we live, there's a drought and major water shortage. Think global warming has increased climate extremes. My share this week is #107 (Tips for stress reduction). Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteNancy,
DeleteI know that we are lucky to have lots of water. I shouldn't complain when many others are dealing with drought, like Az and CA. I know that climate changes are really changing the weather in so many areas of the country. I hope you get some rain soon.
Hugs,
Bev
Thank you so much for the feature!! I'm thrilled! (I placed the bloghop button at the bottom of the featured post as well as on my sidebar).
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for hosting this fun party!
Angie
PS My linkups this week are #175 & #176
Angie,
DeleteYou are so welcome for the feature. I love your chipmunk feeder. Your pics are adorable. When our cat sees a squirrel or chipmunk that close his starts to gurgle. It's so funny.
Have a lovely Sunday.
Hugs,
Bev
I'm so sorry for the late reply ~ life gets in the way sometimes. A big THANK YOU for featuring my 4th of July fans! I really appreciate it!
