Pumpkins, Spindle and Vintage Truck
When I went to visit my Mon and sister a few weeks ago, my sister gave me two white pumpkins to take home. I wanted to create a vignette where I could use those pumpkins. I my quest to use what I have, I gathered some items to create this vignette.
I needed some to place the pumpkins on. I had these 4 yellowish chunky spindles for years. I realized I would probably not use them for anything, so why not cut one for candle type holders. I cut one shorter than the other. I left them as they were since I loved the look. All that chippy paint. Louie is enjoying the warm day.
I needed something to hold the pumpkins/candles. Going through my stash, I found these tins that I bought at a garage sale - 4 for $1.
I placed all of the items on a tray because I have it sitting on our outdoor table and I need to be able to move it around.
Of course I needed to add some vintage piece. This truck belonged to my children's great grandfather. I thought it would be perfect.
So when you are creating a vignette, think outside of the box for items to use. You never know what might just make it special.
