Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!
Happy Thursday dear friends. I am so excited because I am flying to Pittsburgh, PA to see my Mom. I have not seen her since last fall. She does not know that I am coming, I wanted to surprise her. She was 95 in April and gets along quite well. Her health is good. The only problem she has is she is really hard of hearing. I call her every day to talk to her. She will probably start crying when I get there. I am going to call her from downstairs in her apartment building. My younger sister lives there too so I will also get to see her. We will have a fun few days.
I am a little nervous flying and then seeing her. I am taking all kinds of precautions to stay safe. I don't want her to get anything from me. Wish me luck.

DeleteOh my gosh, I have never heard of using chestnuts to wash clothes. What a great idea. We don't have any chestnut trees where I am so I can't try it. Good for you.

I am so excited for you to go see your mother, and for your mother to be able to see you. I'm sure that she is going to be so happy. It would be my mother's 94th birthday this week if she were still alive. She has been gone for almost 15 years and I miss her every day. It makes me really happy when I see children making an effort to see their elderly parents and I can't imagine how hard this time has been for those with elderly parents that they have not been able to see for a while. Have a wonderful time! Thank you for hosting the party. Our links this week are: #169, #170, & #171.
ReplyDeleteAmy,
DeleteWe have been having a wonderful time. I kept waiting to see if this pandemic would be over, but decided it was best if I saw her. She was so happy that I came. I am so sorry to hear about your Mom, it is difficult to be so far away but I try to get to see here as much as possible. I would love her to come and visit for awhile but she is rather a home body.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Bev
Marilyn,

Thank you so much for the feature, Bev! Have a blessed time with your mom and sis! I'm sure she will be ecstatic to see you! I'm leaving for VA on Wednesday! Long day of airport and flying with a mask, but worth it! I'm at 206 and 207 this week!
ReplyDeleteJulie,
DeleteI had a great time with my Mom and sister. Hope you had a good trip even though you had a long trip. I love your Hydrangea wreath. Love all of the colors.
Have a great week.
