Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!
Happy Thursday! I hope you are all doing well. We had some really cold temps here the last 2 days. They called for frost yesterday, but fortunately we did not get it. That is cold for central Florida. The wind has been crazy. We have several wind chimes on our back porch and they have been ringing for days. I even hear them at night singing to me while I am trying to sleep.

Hi, Bev! I was reading on the news about the poor iguanas falling off trees in Florida due to the cold weather; here in Southern Ontario we had a fair amount of snow, ice and rain on the same day! But it was not as bad as other regions in Canada. Thank you for hosting another great party; this week I am sharing #79 Esquites - corn kernels cooked in a traditional Mexican street-food fashion. Stay warm and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIrene,
DeleteYes, when it gets cold, the iguanas will fall out of the trees. They are not dead, just in hibernation. They like to kill them then since they are so invasive. I love all of the great foods that you share and learning about them. It is so fascinating.
Have a lovely week.
Hugs,
Bev
I'm at 63 and 64. Thanks for all you do!
ReplyDeleteMichele,
DeleteListening is often overlooked. It seems that everyone wants to be heard, but I find that when I truly listen, I gain so much more.
Lovely post.
Have a great week.
Hugs,
Bev
Hey, Bev... I'm at 117-119 this week. I can't seem to locate the links to your features... Am I missing them?
ReplyDeleteJulie,
DeleteNo, it seems as though I forgot to add them in. I guess I should go and look at my party once it is posted. I am so sorry. There is just something so sweet about using pinecones in decorating. I love the scale.
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs,
Bev
Bev, I really like the Valentine wreath made with Christmas ornaments but I can't figure out how to get to the right blog for instructions. Can you help?
ReplyDeleteNaomi,
DeleteI can believe that I forgot to add the feature links. Here is the one for the Valentine wreath:

That does sound cold for Florida! It finally "warmed up" enough here that I could take my daughter skating - lots of fun and lots of falls. lol I'm sharing #146 today.
ReplyDeleteSuchot,
DeleteWe have had much cooler weather than usual here, but I am sure the summer will be hot. It is cold here in Vermont but that is to be expected.
Glad you got to go ice skating. That must have been fun.
Have a wonderful day.
Hugs,
Bev
Thanks for hosting! I am #'s 165-167 this week: Happenings on the Homestead, Farm Fresh Tuesdays and Retro Cheese Ball Duo.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and stay warm!

Melissa,
DeleteWe got one of those bags for our tree last year to replace the box that it has been for a very long time. However, my husband thought it was more difficult to maneuver than the box, so back in the box it went. I have a Galaxy 5 and I refuse to upgrade. It is not the money although they are ridiculous, but the time you have to spend at the store. I hate that. My husband just laughs at me.
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs,
Bev
Hi Bev! Just had to comment when I saw that you were cold in Central Florida! I am a snowbird who nests in Central Florida during the winter and I definitely have been feeling like we are living up north again! But if this is as cold as it gets, I'll take it!! Stay warm! (No link ups this week!)
ReplyDeleteI guess we get spoiled here so when the temps fall, we are not use to it. I can understand that it is not that bad compared to up north. One good thing is that it usually doesn't stay cool for long. This is winter, even here. Enjoy your time in Florida.
DeleteHugs,
Bev
Hi Bev! Thank you kindly for featuring my yummy cookies with the rest of these creative folks and their inspiration. I'm glad you avoided the frost. We got more of the frosty white today (which is my birthday!), and it was so beautiful to watch it gently and silently fall on my woods today. I'm sharing inspiration at #182, 183 and 184. Thanks so much for hosting and for the opportunity to contribute ideas and happy thoughts. Peace to you right where you are.
ReplyDeleteMichele,
DeleteWell Happy birthday (a Little late) You are allowed to do whatever you want on your birthday. Cake is always a special treat and I like that confetti one. I bet it was so beautiful with everything dusted in white.
Have a great week.
Hugs,
Bev

Thank you for featuring me Beverly :) The weather here isn't too bad for a NJ winter. Quite often January is pretty cold and this year it has been around the 40s for the most part. Had a weekend of 60s too which was nice but odd lol. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteDawn,
DeleteYou are so welcome for the feature. Yes, that seems quite warm for NJ. The weather these days is just strange. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a lovely week.
