Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!
Happy Thursday! Here we are in the middle of January already. We are having perfect weather (above average temps) and I am so enjoying it. I am working on recovering a chair for my daughter. Yikes, I have never done this and it is taking me so long. I want it to be perfect so I keep ripping it apart and putting it back together. At this rate I may never get it done. Hopefully, one of these days I can show it to you.
What have you been up to this week? I am looking forward to seeing what you share.
Many of my features come from you my commenters. Don't forget to leave your Linkup Number or Post Title so I can find you and you could become one of my featured commenters next week.

Debbie,
DeleteYes, snow is normal for this time of year. When it gets really cold up north, it usually dips down here. We are actually going down to 39 on Monday night. Yikes, I might freeze. lol! Fortunately, it doesn't last long and we go back up to the 70's. Be safe and stay warm.
Hugs,
Bev

Lisa,
DeleteI saw that wreath and thought how creative. I should have known it was yours. You have some older ornaments on there. It turned out so pretty.
The chair is coming, wish I knew what I was doing. Oh, well, that's how you learn.
Have a great weekend.

Bev

Good luck on the chair! Linking up as #97-99 this week.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you are doing better. I can relate, I actually went through that myself many years ago. I had the DC and things were better for awhile but had more cyst and problems and the result was a complete hysterectomy. After that, no problems. I was in my mid 40's. Hope fully, you won't have to go that route, but I didn't care about not having any more kids by then. I already had my children.
DeleteGood luck and look forward to reading part 2.
Hugs,
Bev
I can't wait to see that chair, Bev. I have one that I need to do and I just keep putting it off!
ReplyDeleteAnn,
DeleteI hope to finish it this week. I have put off doing this for years and even after I started, I would put it off again and again.
Good luck with yours.
Hugs,
Bev
I'd love to see a before and after of your chair project. Actually I'd like to see the versions you scrapped too! Today I'm sharing #118. :)
ReplyDeleteSuchot,
DeleteI will show it when I get it done. I would like to get it done this week, but not sure. Thanks for sharing at Thursday Favorite Things.
Have a great Sunday.
Hugs,
Bev
Good luck with the chair :) I am sure your daughter will love it! I have been up to organizing as best as I can. Some people do spring cleaning, I guess you can call mine prespring cleaning haha! The new year comes and I want to declutter as much as I can. If only this motivation lasted all year I would be set, right?
ReplyDeleteI am at 204 and 205 this week, both ham soups as I have been in a soup kind of mood lately. Hope you have a wonderful week!
Dawn,
DeleteI know what you mean. Last year at this time I was cleaning and decluttering in preparation of putting our house on the market. This year I am trying to declutter the new house and it is slow going. I feel like I was in that mode for a long time and now the motivation is not there. OH well, it is chair time this week. We were just talking about ham and bean soup last night. As the weather turns cooler here, I love to make soup. Yours looks amazing.
Good luck with your pre-spring cleaning.
Hugs,
Bev
Thanks for hosting, looking forward to lots more in 2020.
ReplyDeleteAnita,
DeleteThanks for sharing at Thursday Favorite Things. I always look forward to seeing your creations. I still am in love with your piano makeover from last year.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
Hugs,
Bev
Thank you for hosting the party. Good luck with your recovering a chair. My sister has done some upholstery and it is quite a job. She recovered a chair that was my grandparents' for me. It turned out so well and it is such a treasure to me. Our links this week are: #216, #217, & 218.
ReplyDeleteAmy,
DeleteI am finding out that upholstery is very hard. I watched so many videos on line but when the time comes, it never seems to work that way for me at least. The chair is very sturdy so it is worth the effort, I think. lol!
I love those orange cream cheese pull a parts. Cute story about your grandson and the shoes. he is a smart one.
Hugs,
Bev
Thank you so much for the feature! I'm thrilled!
ReplyDeleteI placed the feature button on my sidebar as well as at the bottom of the featured post.
Have a great weekend!
Angie
PS My linkups this week are: #219, #220 & #221
Angie,
DeleteYou are so welcome for the feature. We were just talking about how much more snow we use to get when we were young and how we went ice skating on ponds that were frozen solid. Wonder why that is not the case these days?
Hugs,
Bev
Hi Bev. Happy for you that the weather is being kind and wish I could say the same! Barely made it home from AZ tonight...yikes! Good for you that you're tackling that chair project even though it is a challenge - getting out of our comfort zone is the only way to grow. :) I'm participating again today with #222, 223, 224, as I share hearts, health, and handsome homes (of course!). Thanks for hosting, and hope this finds you enjoying your weekend and finding joy in simplicity. xox
ReplyDeleteMichele,
DeleteSorry to hear your weather is not being kind. This chair has been a huge challenge but I keep plugging away at it. if this turns out, I might try another one. I have been trying to stop eating the "white" stuff and doing more plant based meals. I have some stomach problems and I am trying to get it under control. It is hard at times, but will be worth it I am sure.
Thanks for all of your sweet words, lovely lady.
Hugs,
Bev
I'm late again this week. I brought #2324, 235 & 236 this week. Thank you for the inspiring ideas and recipes - GREAT party as always. Have a WONDERFUL weekend.
ReplyDeleteTamy,

Marilyn,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your recipes. Chili is one of those dishes that is great no matter what you put in it.
Have a great day.
