New Sunflower Wreaths
While we were in Vermont, the weather was cool and I got into the fall spirit. So when I came home, I decided to update the plain green moss wreaths that were left on my front doors.
I thought about buying new ones, but figured I could just add flowers and they would be fine and I was right. You have to use what you have.
I went to JoAnn Fabrics since I had some coupons. It seems as though sun flowers are everywhere and I had seen so many in Vermont, that they were my first choice.
Add in some greens or other orange flowers and I had a nice group. I also picked up some different ribbons, black and white check and burlap. I added in some lace that I had as well.
I should have taken a picture of the green moss wreaths before decorating, but I get too anxious to work on the project and forget. They were just plain green moss wreaths.
The front doors look so much better with the updated wreaths. Those green moss ones were so boring.
I had some ribbon left over so I made a bow to place on my antique ironing board.
I bought this ironing board at a garage sale a couple of years ago for $2. It was in bad shape. Mainly it was in pieces. You can see it here in this post.
I am so excited that I have updated the front doors wreaths. I redid the rocking chairs; updated a plant stand. The front porch is getting a makeover and it hasn't cost a lot. I still have a few things yet to do, one of these days it might all be done.

I love these, Bev. Sunflowers are such a perfect way to transition from summer to fall. Updating old wreaths is one of my favorite ways to give new life to them for different seasons.
