Buying drapes is no easy task!
Any decorator will tell you, curtains make a room, but only when chosen correctly. When it comes to window treatments, it's a matter of color and fabric, length and lining, and custom-made versus off-the-shelf. With so many decisions, it's easy to feel overwhelmed.I was at this point. I needed some drapes for my lanai. Now most might think that it is only an outdoor place, so what's the problem. Well, on the right side of the lanai is where the sun shines most of the afternoon. I don't want my furniture to be exposed to all of that sun. (Now I must admit that I have not put all of my furniture on the lanai yet, I will explain that in another post.)
I was compensated for these drapes but all opinions are my own.
I had already decided that custom drapes were out of the question, so off the shelf would be my choice. Now what color? I wanted the room to be light so I wanted white ones. On to the length. That one was easy since all I had to do was measure from where the rod would be to the floor - 95 inches.
The only question now was, what type of drape to pick. I wanted something that was lined because of the sun but I didn't want them too heavy. I found these great room darkening drapes that would be perfect. They are from www.deconovo.com Now I didn't need the room darkening but they would certainly block the sun and keep my furniture from fading and keep the room cool.
These drapes are soft and hang lovely. I used 2 sets of drapes on this wall. I did not take them all the way to the wall's end so you could see the end of the wall. (Although they go to the end) I was so amazed when I was out there and the sun was shining just how cool it was. They are perfect.
It was difficult to get a nice picture of the drapes, but I tried.
I love the fabric and the room darkening side is light and you wouldn't even know that they are room darkening drapes.
Some of their other products include: towels, blankets, chair and sofa covers, and even Christmas decorations. Plus a large line of drapes.
