Now I have known about this for awhile, but so many other projects were ahead of making her some American Girl clothes she asked for.
These pj's for one.
She loves Hello Kitty, so I made these pj's for her. One would think that it should be easy to make such small clothes. Not so.
They turned out OK, but my machine decided to act up. I just could not get the tension right. Stitches were either too tight or too loose.I don't think I have ever ripped out that many seams before.
I have a vintage Pfaff sewing machine that is old but very durable. I have had it in the shop many times, maybe it is time to find something else.
The robe was OK too, but it could have been better. Maybe I am too fussy. More seams had to be taken apart and put back together.
The dress did much better, maybe because I was getting use to all the machine problems. I loved this giraffe fabric and wanted something with some color to go with it.
I had to have it mailed on Wednesday so she could have it by Saturday. They are heading to Texas for Thanksgiving and she wanted her presents before she went.
I was able to get it shipped on time and it should arrive on Saturday. There was supposed to be a pair of pants and a top but that will have to be for Christmas.
