We came back from our other house today and unpacked as usual. I was putting some things away when my neighbor knocked on my door. She had a hutch that she was putting out for bulk pickup and wondered if I wanted it. Now if you follow me, you know that each month we have "bulk pickup". This is where you can put out anything and they will pick it up.

Roasted Pork Loin with Pineapple Glaze
We had a few friends over last week and I wanted to make something special. I found this recipe from Marcela Valladolid who is on the Food Network channel.
When I first saw this I was not sure about it, since I am not a big prune fan. My husband is so I knew he would love it. I like to make a recipe as is the first time but sometimes I know I need to modify it. Which was the case here.

Dressed Up Cornbread
I love cornbread, there is just something about it. You can make it plain or dress it up. I love plain cornbread with chili or a stew. What about cornbread for breakfast? I have been known to eat plain cornbread for breakfast, but this time I dressed it up.

My New Spring into Summer Wreath!
Shoestring Elegance
Do you take time to celebrate all the seasons in your life? Do you know what I mean? We celebrate things like Christmas, 4th of July, New Year's Day, Birthday's, 21st, 30th, 40th (over the hill and ready to roll), 50th( half-century) Thanks so much, society, for that little reminder. Heck we even celebrate Groundhog Day! If we go to all that trouble for those holidays, surely we should, in some way, celebrate the 'actual' Seasons in our lives.
Homemade Blueberry Syrup Recipe
Happy Mothering
While we love eating fresh blueberries, I also like making blueberry jam, blueberry pie – anything blueberry! I wanted to make something new, so this weekend I decided we’d give blueberry syrup a try.
You only need 4 simple ingredients and the result is amazing!
S’more Cupcakes Recipe
Counytry Divas
I am like so many others with great memories of Summer nights roasting marshmallows over the open fire, laughing and anxiously awaiting that chocolate bar and graham crackers. My memory is of the nights licking the melting chocolate from running down the side of my mouth, the smell of roasting a marshmallow and loving every minute of it. My first taste of this cupcake brought back all of that fun and goodness without all of the bugs biting me.
THINGS I WISH I KNEW BEFORE BECOMING A MOMMY
And This Marine Wife
I remember falling to my knees and breaking into sobs.
“I don’t know how to be a mommy,” I squeaked out.
I could tell my husband was trying so hard to contain his excitement because he didn’t want to upset me even more. He grabbed my face in his hands and said, “Baby, you are going to be a great mommy.”
NEW ILIA Beauty Discoveries!
Storybook Apothecary
If you’ve been following along for awhile, you might know about my love for ILIA Beauty, but if not, you can check back to my very first post on ILIA and you’ll see I’ve been a huge fan for years! I got even more excited when I found out they were finally releasing a line of face cosmetic products so, of course, I had to try their Tinted Moisturizer alongside a few lip colors I’ve had my eye on for awhile.
DIY Outdoor Mason Jar Chandelier
DIY Inspired
What could better than a DIY project that cost absolutely nothing? My daughter and I walk to the playground all the time and every time she brings home a treasure. This time it was a large stick. It sat in our backyard for a while and the other day when I was cleaning, I picked it up and set it aside on our patio table. I stared at it and immediately thought of making this DIY outdoor Mason jar chandelier. After all, I had all the supplies already. I didn’t buy one thing. Here’s how I made it.
7 Ways to Build Fine Motor Skills for Preschoolers
Midwest Modern Momma
Early development of fine motor skills will help increase chances for success when they begin writing. Fine motor activities can be fun and challenging at the same time, so get those little hands busy. There are many activities that are effective, these are 7 of our favorites in my house.
30 HEALTHY COOKING TIPS
Just Another Mom
Involve the whole family in healthy cooking and teach your kids as they get
older to instill good habits.
Using a pressure cooker helps retain nutrients by reducing exposure of food to high temperatures.
Copycat Starbucks S’mores Frappuccino
This Mama Loves
I don’t frequently splurge at coffee shops for a frappuccino. While I love them, they don’t do much for me except empty my wallet. I mean, they TASTE awesome and everything, but if I am going to indulge, I want to do it in a way that offers my body some benefit. Using Silk Soymilk in place of regular milk gives me some added protein in my morning- which keeps my body fueled.
Tzatziki Chicken Salad Wrap
TitiCrafty
Greek inspired chicken salad, Tzatziki Chicken Salad Wrap. This one makes for a perfect lunch or light dinner, especially great for warmer weather days. The homemade tzatziki sauce is really what makes this dish so fantastic!
We Hatched Chicken Eggs!!!
The (mis)Adventures of a "Born Again" Farm Girl
Late last fall a friend of mine offered us a dozen hatching eggs. Well winter in Michigan is no time to be hatching out chicks, so she waited till spring to send them to us. We have been on the most exciting adventure trying our hand at hatching our own chicks for the first time. I don't know who has been more excited, the country kids or myself!!
Foxy Loxy
Plutonium Muffins
I thought I would tell you about Foxy Loxy, the Joeli Caparco pattern that I knitted up and sent to New Zealand for Baby Oliver, the newest arrival to the family! I have not managed to get a photo of Oliver wearing the jumper (and I’m not sure if I would have been able to post it anyway, I’m not sure where the parents stand on sharing photos but if they asked me not to share it, I wouldn’t).

STRAWBERRY COOKIES AND CREAM ICE CREAM CAKE RECIPE
Real Advice Gal
So, I don’t normally have a sweet tooth, but when I do I gotta have something sweet ASAP! Yesterday was one of those days that I really wanted something sweet. I was craving a cupcake and some ice cream at the same time, so I thought I would combine the 2 for 1 tasty treat! I always thought making an ice cream cake would be super hard, but man was I wrong.
Lemon Sour Cream Bundt Cakes
A Sprinkle of This and That
Lemon Sour Cream Bundt Cakes are so moist. So pretty and simple made fancy in a mini bundt cake pan. Can you make this recipe in a muffin tin? Absolutely. But, if you really want to take things to the next level...use the bundt pan. You will love the sweet lemon flavor!
Mini Lemon Berry Cheesecake In A Jar
A Cultivated Nest
Serve this delicious Lemon Berry Cheesecake in a cute little mason jar for a perfect spring and summer dessert! A tasty way to use sweet berries in a dessert that ends any meal on a good note. Layered with graham cracker crust, creamy cheesecake with a hint of lemon, and an amazing berry puree.
Dark Chocolate Avocado Brownies (vegan & gluten-free)
Becoming Alice
After making "healthy vegan brownie alternatives" using kidney beans and sweet potato, i just had to make them with avocado. Also, i have made several delicious dessert recipes using avocado for chocolate pudding, so Chocolate Avocado Brownies were the obvious next step, right?
FRESH MANGO SALSA SLOW COOKER CHICKEN
