There were three boxes of mason jars. Needless to say, I was on them immediately. She had them priced at $5 per box. I am not sure how many were in each box - somewhere between 10 - 14 each. Some were large, but most of them were the small ones and all had their lids, like the ones in my picture below.
She saw me looking at them and said, "you can have all of them for $5". I tried not to fall over and grabbed them up before anyone else did. Since there was only one other person there, I was pretty safe.
These two mason jars were part of that find. I still have two boxes of them in the barn.
I have made some into mason jar lights. I have a tutorial on how to do this and you can find it here. I didn't want to do candles this time so I thought some bulbs would be nice.
I started with two mason jars. These are bluish ones.
I wanted something for snow and since I was heading to Home Depot anyway, I would see what they had. I found this bag of frosty flurries.Perfect and only $1.98. I added the snow and then some silver bulbs. I had a few different sizes.
Next, I needed something around the top. I tied some burlap, since I love burlap too.
It still needed more. I had bought this tinsel rope at Walmart. Love this stuff. It is on wire so it bends easily.
I tied it over the burlap and added some greenery and some silver/white decor from an old wreath.
Added some more decor - more bulbs and these cute little tree tea lights.
I had this silver tray that was in very bad shape so I sprayed it white.
I love the fact that I can lift the tray off my table any time I need to.

Those look fabulous. The jars alone would have been a great find but with those kind of lids on them WOW.
