We arrived early and you can see from this picture, that not many participants had arrived yet.
On the far left are dachshunds that are available for adoption. I tried to stay away from this area! Way too cute!
They had many activities set up: here is the Doxie Funhouse - tunnels, mirrors, see-saws and scary badgers.
They even had Fortune Telling - Madame Suzanne of the Stars see all, tells all.
In addition to these, other activities consisted of: Guess Your Age, Weenie Martini Station (refreshing canine beverages), Odorama Plex (Sniff your way through this scents-ational theater of smells), and a Red Carpet Photo Area.
You could even have your doxie's picture taken as a "hot dog". Roddy decided to ham it up on this one.
Here they are competing in the Stay competition.
The dogs are relaxing as they watch all of the other doxies pass by.
Bob Houston, the accordionist, led us in the Dach Song - yes, they actually have a doxie song. We all sang! If you want the words, let me know.
These doxies were dressed as "weiners". What a cute costume! They were pulled around in this wagon.
Marina decided she would rather sun bath than participate in the activities. Check out her necklace. she is stylin.
Roddy just wants to check out the other dachshunds. What a great day seeing hundreds of various types of dachshunds and talking to so many great people.
Wow, that looks like such fun! I agree with you, dachshunds are the best - they have such great personalities and temperment, it's just so easy to fall for them.
ReplyDeleteIt was so much fun. So many wonderful doxies everywhere. They are just the best dogs and so loyal.
